Cost analysis of a vaccination strategy for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in a network model

[EN] In this paper an age-structured mathematical model for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is proposed where children younger than one year old, who are the most affected by this illness, are specially considered. Real data of hospitalized children in the Spanish region of Valencia are used in order to determine some seasonal parameters of the model. Once the parameters are determined, we propose a complete stochastic network model to study the seasonal evolution of the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) epidemics. Photometric and Spectroscopic Properties of Type Ia Supernova 2018oh with Early Excess Emission from the $Kepler$ 2 Observations

Supernova (SN) 2018oh (ASASSN-18bt) is the first spectroscopically-confirmed type Ia supernova (SN Ia) observed in the $Kepler$ field. The $Kepler$ data revealed an excess emission in its early light curve, allowing to place interesting constraints on its progenitor system (Dimitriadis et al. 2018, Shappee et al. 2018b). Here, we present extensive optical, ultraviolet, and near-infrared photometry, as well as dense sampling of optical spectra, for this object. SN 2018oh is relatively normal in its photometric evolution, with a rise time of 18.3$\pm$0.3 days and $\Delta$m$_{15}(B)=0.96\pm$0.03 mag, but it seems to have bluer $B - V$ colors. Le società democratiche stanno vivendo oggi una fase di grande trasformazione a causa anche dei grandi progressi dovuti alla tecnologie digitali. Di fronte alle difficoltà legate al fenomeno dell'individualismo bisogna evitare entrambi gli estremi: quello di chi demonizza la tecnica e i fenomeni di modernizzazione e quelli di chi guarda ai nuovi strumenti con un fideismo acritico. Le intuzioni di Tocqueville possano ancora oggi aiutarci ad avere un atteggiamento critico equilibrato tra questi due estremi.

Este trabajo considera el uso de información individual de consumo para analizar la desigualdad en renta. Dada la presumible asociación entre desigualdad y el nivel de la renta permanente y los problemas asociados a su identificación con datos individuales de ingreso, los datos microeconómicos de consumo se constituyen en una alternativa muy válida para analizar la desigualdad y los cambios en el bienestar. De acuerdo con el modelo de la renta permanente es posible identificar las varianzas permanente y transitoria de la renta a partir de información microeconómica de ambas variables. AbstractDyslipidemia in patients with type 2 diabetes (DMT2) is one of the worst controlled worldwide, with only about 1/4 of patients being on the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) target.
