A new rotational integral formula for intrinsic volumes in space forms

A new rotational version of Crofton's formula is derived for the intrinsic volumes of a domain Y in a space form. More precisely, a functional is defined on the intersection between Y and a totally geodesic submanifold (plane) through a fixed point, such that the rotational average of this functional is equal to the intrinsic volumes of Y. Particular cases of interest in stereology are considered for the Euclidean case. © 2009 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Transverse instability of periodic and generalized solitary waves for a fifth-order KP model

We consider a fifth-order Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation which arises as a two-dimensional model in the classical water-wave problem. This equation possesses a family of generalized line solitary waves which decay exponentially to periodic waves at infinity. We prove that these solitary waves are transversely spectrally unstable and that this instability is induced by the transverse instability of the periodic tails. We rely upon a detailed spectral analysis of some suitably chosen linear operators.

Este trabajo presenta el diseño de un proyecto de investigación que está siendo desarrollado por la Unidad de Investigación de Psicología Social de la Universitat de Valéncia y el Ayuntamiento de Quart de Poblet, enmarcado en el programa europeo Regionet Integra, y cuyo objetivo es diseñar un Programa de itinerarios formativos para madres y padres de alumnos inmigrantes que facilite el proceso de escolarización de los alumnos y a la vez promueva la integración social de sus padres a través de la participación en el sistema educativo.

Con ese fin, se combino la busqueda sistematica con la narrativa. La sistematica se baso en referencias extraidas de Web of Science (WoS), analizadas mediante la plataforma Tree of Science (ToS) para identificar redes de citacion. La narrativa se apoyo en el analisis de referencias complementarias a traves del programa Gephi. Environmental concerns raised by synthetic nematicides are encouraging integrated management strategies based on their combination with non-chemical control tools, such as biocontrol agents and/or organic amendments. In this study, the combination of the fumigant 1,3-dichloropropene (1,3-D) with a commercial formulation of the biocontrol agent Trichoderma harzianum (TH) and an organic fertilizer (OF) was investigated in two consecutive tomato crops for its effect on the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita and plant growth and yield. States of mourning: A quantitative analysis of national mournings across European countries

Despite their growing incidence over the last decades, national days of mourning received curiously sparse attention throughout social sciences and death studies. This study investigates the 327 national mournings observed across European countries between 1989 and 2017 in terms of their national variance, temporal dynamics, typology of events that led to their declaration, and victimology.
