Background: During the CoronaVIrus-19 (COVID-19) pandemic, nursing education has been dramatically transformed and shaped according to the restrictions imposed by national rules. Where do food likes and dislikes come from ? In other words, what are the factors that could explain why someone likes or dislikes a given food ? Most of the hedonic reactions to sensory stimulations brought by foods and, as a result reactions to foods carrying these sensory properties are learned through different learning mechanisms. The efficiency of these learning mechanisms mat depend on individual characteristics, in particular on the sensitivity to different sensory properties. Iemācīto bezpalīdzību Seligmans un viņa kolēģi pirmo reizi aprakstīja 1967. gadā, veicot pētījumu par to, kā iepriekš šokēti suņi vēlāk nespēj izvairīties no elektriskās strāvas trieciena situācijās, kad tas bija iespējams. Kopš tā laika iemācītā bezpalīdzība ir kļuvusi par plaši atzītu teoriju psiholoģijā, un turpmākajos pētījumos ir pētīta tās saistība ar mācīšanos, socializāciju un sociālajiem aspektiem, piemēram, nabadzību un invaliditāti.
