Darba mērķis ir izvērtēt Amatas upes hidroloģiskā režīma sezonālās un ilgtermiņa izmaiņas mainīga klimata apstākļos. Darbā raksturots Gaujas baseina upju hidroloģiskais režīms un to ietekmējošie faktori, aplūkoti hidroloģiskā režīma pētījumi Latvijā un Baltijā. Veikts Amatas upes baseina fizioģeogrāfiskais raksturojums. Two centuries have passed since the palimpsest that transmits a Roman legal work known as the Vaticana fragmenta was rediscovered by Angelo Mai in the Vatican Apostolic Library in Rome. This paper reviews the main issues relating to this work and suggests some reasons why a new edition of the text is desirable. 1820 hat Angelo Mai in der Vatikanischen Apostolischen Bibliothek in Rom ein Palimpsest wiederentdeckt, welches ein römisches Rechtswerk – die so genannte Vaticana Fragmenta – überliefert. 200 Jahre sind seitdem genau vergangen. Dieser Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die wichtigsten Aspekte dieses Werks und zeigt Gründe auf, warum eine neue Ausgabe dieses Textes wünschenswert ist.

Neurons are usually regarded as postmitotic cells that undergo apoptosis in response to cell cycle reactivation. Nevertheless, recent evidence indicates the existence of a defined developmental program that induces DNA replication in specific populations of neurons, which remain in a tetraploid state for the rest of their adult life. Similarly, de novo neuronal tetraploidization has also been described in the adult brain as an early hallmark of neurodegeneration. The aim of this review is to integrate these recent developments in the context of cell cycle regulation and apoptotic cell death in neurons. Comparison and multiresolution analysis of irregular meshes with appearance attributes

We present in this dissertation a method to compare and to analyse irregular meshes with appearance attributes. First, we propose a mesh comparison method using a new attribute deviation metric. Considered meshes contain geometric and appearance attributes (e.g. color, texture,temperature). The proposed deviation assessment allows the computation of local attribute differences between two meshes. We present an application of this method to mesh simplification algorithm quality assessment.Then we propose two multiresolution analysis schemes for irregular meshes with appearance attributes. Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek pētīti multilingvālisma tipi studentu diskursā. Multilingvālisms ir spēja komunicēt divās vai vairākās valodās. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādi ir multilingvālisma un koda maiņas tipi, kā arī, vai malajiešu studenti izmanto koda maiņu savā diskursā. Papildus tiek noskaidrots, kuru valodu vārdus malajiešu studenti izmanto savā diskursā. Pētījumā tiek izmantotas divas metodes: diskursa analīze un cilvēku aptaujāšana. Šo metožu izmantošana palīdz iegūt ziņas par viņu saskarsmi ar vairākām valodām, kā arī analizēt iegūtos rezultātus un salīdzināt tos ar citu autoru iegūtajiem rezultātiem. We demonstrate a butt-coupled interface between LPCVD Si 3 N 4 and gold based plasmonic waveguides in aqueous environment, exhibiting 2.3dB coupling loss and 75μm propagation length at 1550nm, towards future employment in biosensing applications.
