Professional identity in relation to vocational teachers’ work : an identity-centred approach to professional development

This paper reports a study on teachers’ professional identity and work in vocational education. The findings showed that vocational teachers’ work included vocational teaching within the school, developmental work, technology-enhanced work, professional duties outside the school, and educational duties within the school. Furthermore, the study revealed the harmonious and tensioned relationships between these elements of the work and teachers’ identities. Recognition of the nuanced nature of these relationships provides a perspective for promoting teachers’ professional development. Este estudio tiene como objetivo poner a prueba empíricamente el modelo teórico que explica la influencia de los factores de primer y segundo orden sobre la integración de las plataformas digitales en la docencia universitaria. Bakalaura darba pamatā ir šodienas COVID-19 problemātiskais jautājums. Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīta negatīva COVID-19 ietekme uz darbinieka motivāciju un produktivitāti. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir sniegt uzņēmumam noderīgus priekšlikumus, balstoties uz problēmas analīzi, izmantoto literatūru un autores veikto pētījumu rezultātiem. Bakalaura darba pētījuma rezultāti apstiprināja problēmas esamību. Pamatojoties uz datiem, kas saņemti no darbiniekiem un personāla speciālistiem, tiek secināts, ka COVID-19 graujoši ietekmē uzņēmuma darbinieku motivāciju.
Temporality and firm de-internationalization : Three historical approaches

This paper contributes to process-oriented international business research by showing how three distinct historical approaches can enrich theoretical understanding concerning temporality in firm de-internationalization. First, we show how comparative historical analysis unleashes the causal structure of the process and provides explanatory understanding of the temporal grounding of the mechanisms driving the process. Niniejszy rozdział stanowi próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy chaos obecny w różnych obszarach ludzkiego funkcjonowania dotyczy również czasu. Ponadto, czy można w jakikolwiek sposób zapanować nad tym chaosem i czy taka umiejętność pozostaje w jakimkolwiek związku z uzyskiwanymi efektami pracy własnej. Aby zrealizować ten cel, zostało przeprowadzone badanie ankietowe, które pozwoliło ustalić, że postrzeganie czasu jako chaotycznego pozostaje w związku ze sposobem gospodarowania czasem. Pozwala to wysunąć wniosek, że zarządzanie czasem ułatwia opanowanie chaosu.

Purpose Although emotional tensions related to organizational sustainability have been identified, little is known about how employees aim to resolve such situations. This study aims to explore how employees use sensemaking to resolve emotionally tense situations concerning organizational sustainability. The purpose of the study was to describe the supervisors’ action in the support of changing one’s living habits in two weight management groups in the type 2 diabetes prevention program. The data consists of 17 video-recorded 90-minute “Small decision a day” weight management group counselling sessions of two groups with 10 and 20 participants in the years 2004-2005.
