Le prime trascrizioni del palinsesto di Gaio e il presunto «mistero» delle schede veronesi (BCapVr, Cod. DCCCIX)

This paper addresses the question of the origin of the partial transcription of Gaius’ palimpsest still preserved in the Capitular Library of Verona (BCapVr, Cod. DCCCIX) and allows to solve the pretended «mystery» about its presence in this library. A comparison with the fair copy (Reinschrift) of the transcription belonging to the Berlin State Library – Prussian Cultural Heritage (SBB-PK, Ms. lat. fol. 308, K. 1, Konv. 1) shows that the Cod. W artykule najpierw zostały krótko ukazane wybrane tendencje i fenomeny, spotykane w pobożności późnego średniowiecza, które pośrednio lub bezpośrednio wpłynęły na kształtowanie się życia liturgicznego reformacji. Abstract Polyphenoloxidases (PPO) of the type-3 copper protein family are considered to be catecholoxidases catalyzing the oxidation of o-diphenols to their corresponding quinones. PPO from Grenache grapes has recently been reported to display only diphenolase activity. In contrast, we have characterized PPOs from Dornfelder and Riesling grapes which display both monophenolase and diphenolase activity. Ultracentrifugation and size exclusion chromatography indicated that both PPOs occur as monomers with Mr of about 38 kDa. High precision mass measurements for wine metabolomics

An overview of the critical steps for the non-targeted Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography coupled with Quadrupole Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-Q-ToF-MS) analysis of wine chemistry is given, ranging from the study design, data preprocessing and statistical analyses, to markers identification. UPLC-Q-ToF-MS data was enhanced by the alignment of exact mass data from FTICR-MS, and marker peaks were identified using UPLC-Q-ToF-MS(2). This article is focused on the seasonal variation in the contents of 5-methoxycanthin-6-one from the leaves of Zanthoxylum chiloperone (Rutaceae). Based on the pharmacological interest presented by 5-methoxycanthin-6-one, its seasonal variation in Z. chiloperone leaves was analysed in order to determine the best time for harvesting, optimising the 5-methoxycanthin-6-one content. The seasonal dynamics of canthinone alkaloids can be the key to improve the isolation from natural sustainable sources, such as leaves. Complementarily, this study describes the phytochemistry of leaf from this Ruraceae species.

Synchronization and fluctuations for interacting stochastic systems with individual and collective reinforcement

The Pólya urn is the paradigmatic example of a reinforced stochastic process. It leads to a random (non degenerated) time-limit. The Friedman urn is a natural generalization whose a.s. time-limit is not random anymore. In this work, in the stream of previous recent works, we introduce a new family of (finite) systems of reinforced stochastic processes, interacting through an additional collective reinforcement of mean field type. The two reinforcement rules strengths (one componentwise, one collective) are tuned through (possibly) different rates n −γ. Production of photon states from Λ-atoms in a cavity

We analyse the system of Λ-atoms in a cavity QED of semi-transparent mirror and driven by laser fields. We derive effective models and connect concepts (photonic flux, input-output operators, photonic state) characterizing the propagation of the resulting leaking photons. We propose an atom-cavity non-resonant scheme for single-and 2-photons generation. The pulse shapes of outgoing single photons are tailored using a specifically designed driving field envelope. For the production of 2-photon states, two trapped atoms are used with two driving pulses.
