Organizational performance focused on users' quality of life: The role of service climate and "contribution-to-others" wellbeing beliefs.
2017
The investigation of organizational factors as precursors of the quality of life (QoL) of service users in organizations for individuals with intellectual disability has been relatively neglected. With this in mind, this study tests the mediation of service climate between employee's "contribution-to-others" wellbeing beliefs (COWBs) and organizational performance focused on the QoL of individuals with intellectual disability. A total of 104 organizations participated in the study. Data were collected from 885 employees and 809 family members of individuals with intellectual disability. The results of the multilevel mediation model supported the hypotheses. When employees believe that their …
The Sustainability of Cruise Tourism Onshore: The Impact of Crowding on Visitors’ Satisfaction
2019
The sustainability of cruise tourism has been questioned in relation to its negative effects on ports of call, among which crowding has recently become more pronounced. However, an understanding of how crowdedness influences cruise tourists&rsquo
Destination Attractiveness Drivers among Urban Hostel Tourists: An Analysis of Frustrators and Delighters
2015
This study is based on data from 679 tourists staying at hostel accommodation facilities in Zagreb, a propulsive city-break destination in Central Europe. Besides providing insight into the socio-demographic and behavioural characteristics of hostel tourists, this study uncovers determinant destination attributes influencing their perceptions of destination attractiveness. In particular, impact asymmetry analysis identified potential sources of delight and frustration among hostel tourists. Since the hostel tourist segment, as such, is almost completely unconsidered in contemporary tourism research, partly covered only by a few studies on youth travellers and backpackers, the results of thi…
Patrimonio culturale e tecnologia: un incontro ancora da valorizzare
2020
Today, many factors are driving cultural institutions to adopt digitization strategies. For some of them, as organizations in charge of monument care, historical or archaeological museums and heritage parks, this might be critical. Indeed, making available off-site experiences of heritage places, for instance by augmented reality and/or video games, fuels polyvalent and potentially contradictory dynamics. They lay at the intersection of three main dimensions: understanding how cultural heritage and technology interact; which attitudes people in charge of cultural heritage bear, and how tourist destinations are built and promoted. The paper combines information about the evolution of the lit…
AUGMENTED REALITY
2012
Already used in very specific areas such as in military and medical or academic research, in 2009 thanks to improved technology, augmented reality is to reach wider audiences and as information campaigns, advertising-augmented published in newspapers or on the network, and through a growing number of applications for mobile phones, particularly iPhone. The Augmented Reality on the desktop computer is based on the use of markers, or ARtags, and stylized drawings, which are shown to the webcam, are recognized by the PC, and which are overlaid in real-time multimedia content: video, audio, 3D objects, and other information like link, historical or/and geographical elements, relationship betwee…
Influence of regionality and maturation time on the chemical fingerprint of whisky.
2020
International audience; Understanding the chemical composition of whisky and the impact of each step in the manufacturing process provides a basis for responding to the challenges of producing high quality spirits. In this study, the objective was to discriminate whiskies according to their geographical origin and authenticate the maturation time in cask based on the non-volatile profiles. The combination of FT-ICR-MS and chemometrics allowed the distinction of whiskies from four geographical origins in Scotland (Highlands, Lowlands, Speyside and Islay). Statistical modeling was also used to discriminate whiskies according to the maturation time in cask and reveal chemical markers associate…

Rahoitusmarkkinainformaatio BRIC-maiden laajennetussa Taylorin säännössä
2017
Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan BRIC-maiden harjoittamaa rahapolitiikkaa vuosina 2005-2015.
Construction of Disjoint Virtual Backbones for Wireless Sensor Networks
2020
A wireless sensor network is a wireless network of sensors aimed at monitoring physical events. It has ingratiated itself into almost all areas of human endeavors. Data dissemination in these networks is quite challenging and is generally accomplished by flooding. But flooding introduces broadcast storm problem due from implosion and overlap. To overcome this, topology management can prescribe a virtual backbone network to which routing is confined. In this paper we propose an algorithm that constructs multiple disjoint virtual backbone networks, using only nodes' locations. The disjointedness makes routing more robust and the network exploitation energy efficient. Simulations show our algo…
Comparaison Balanced Scorecard - Navigator
2008
