ANOTĀCIJA Promocijas darba „Mācīšanās rezultātu nozīme profesionālās vidējās izglītības vadībā” mērķis ir izpētīt mācīšanās rezultātu nozīmi profesionālajā vidējā izglītībā un noskaidrot, kā notiek pāreja uz mācīšanās rezultātos balstītu izglītības procesu. Pētījuma ietvaros tika veikta profesionālās izglītības iestāžu audzēkņu aptauja, skolotāju un darba devēju intervijas. Pētījumā secināts, ka skolotāji un darba devēji neizprot mācīšanās rezultātu lomu profesionālajā izglītībā. Skaidri formulēti mācīšanās rezultāti profesionālās izglītības programmās sniedz precīzu informāciju par mācību procesu un tā iznākumu visām iesaistītajām pusēm, līdz ar to vairāk jauniešu var izvēlēties profesionā…
THE LEARNING OUTCOMES APPROACH IN FORMAL SECOND CHANCE EDUCATION : CASE OF LATVIA

This paper focusses on the use of a learning outcomes approach based on the empirical quantitative data gathered from 82 teachers of the second chance education institutions in Latvia. For this purpose, built on the academic literature and policy documents’ review the author attempts to define the learning outcomes approach. The analysis of the empirical data presents elements of the use of the approach in the setting of a second chance education in Latvia and provides initial findings to support more coherent learning outcome based formal second chance education.

The aim of the present study is to examine the breadth of influence of a business plan-based entrepreneurship education. This task is implemented by examining students’ (n = 227) self-reported learning outcomes concerning entrepreneurial skills, attitudes and abilities after education. Reconstructing a “forma mentis”, a mindset, and its changes, means capturing how individuals perceive topics, trends and experiences over time. To this aim we use forma mentis networks (FMNs), which enable direct, microscopic access to how individuals conceptually perceive knowledge and sentiment around a topic, providing richer contextual information than machine learning. Sarcopenia is a common condition in older people. Increasing literature is showing its importance for negative health outcomes, also beyond the perimeter of geriatric medicine. In this chapter, we will discuss the consequences of sarcopenia. Overall, epidemiological research suggests that sarcopenia is significantly associated with falls and fractures also suggesting a strong association between muscle and bone loss conditions, as in the case of osteosarcopenia.
