In this paper comparative genome and phenotype microarray analyses of Rhodococcus sp. BCP1 and Rhodococcus opacus R7 were performed. Rhodococcus sp. BCP1 was selected for its ability to grow on short-chain n-alkanes and R. opacus R7 was isolated for its ability to grow on naphthalene and on o-xylene. Results of genome comparison, includ- ing BCP1, R7, along with other Rhodococcus reference strains, showed that at least 30% of the genome of each strain presented unique sequences and only 50% of the predicted proteome was shared. This study focuses on decision-making within operational teams. Grounding our argumentation on group decision-making literature, we argue that adverse behavior patterns may affect the way in which consensus is achieved within the team, and that team performance has an inverted U-shaped relationship with the level of consensus. The addition of the anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) to hydro-organic mixtures of methanol, ethanol, propanol or acetonitrile with water yielded enhanced peak shape (i.e. increased efficiencies and symmetrical peaks) for a group of basic drugs (β-blockers) chromatographed with a Kromasil C18 column. The effect can be explained by the thin layer of surfactant associated to the hydrocarbon chain on the stationary phase in the presence of the organic solvents, which covers the free silanols on the siliceous support avoiding their interaction with the cationic basic drugs. Using a lifting and balancing task, we contrasted two alternative views of planning joint actions: one postulating that joint action involves distinct predictions for self and other, the other postulating that joint action involves coordinated plans between the coactors and reuse of bimanual models. We compared compensatory movements required to keep a tray balanced when 2 participants lifted glasses from each other’s trays at the same time (simultaneous joint action) and when they took turns lifting (sequential joint action).
