The concept of learning experience holds its eminent place within the paradigm of constructivism in contemporary educational science. Public Health Genomics education in post-graduate schools of hygiene and preventive medicine: a cross-sectional survey.

Background The relevance of Public Health Genomics (PHG) education among public health specialists has been recently acknowledged by the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region. The aim of this cross-sectional survey was to assess the prevalence of post-graduate public health schools for medical doctors which offer PHG training in Italy. Methods The directors of the 33 Italian public health schools were interviewed for the presence of a PHG course in place. We stratified by geographical area (North, Centre and South) of the schools. Quality assurance of decision-making in conversations between professionals and non-professionals: identifying the presence of deliberative principles

The ideal of dialogue is at stake in professional conversations. The aim of this study is to develop an instrument that makes it possible to compare principles of deliberation with what actually takes place in professional conversations. The developed instrument is tested on one patient's conversation with his doctor about lifestyle changes, and meetings where pupils with learning disabilities and their parents discuss further schooling with school representatives. Although in need of refinement, the conclusion is that the instrument provides meaningful insight into how much each participant 'contributes' to the decision-making process and 'behaves' during the conversation.

En el presente artículo, exponemos los principales resultados de la investigación que hemos llevado a cabo sobre el proceso de implantación de la formación profesional dual en la totalidad de los ciclos de dicha etapa en España, al amparo de un proyecto europeo de transferencia de innovación. La metodología utilizada es la cuantitativa.
