Abstract This paper examines a controversial and particularly complex case phenomenon called quantificational case attested in a number of historically unrelated Slavonic and Finno-Ugric languages, and attempts to establish certain novel cross-linguistic generalizations and conclusions. Objectives: The objective was to analyze the impact of preventive programmes on oral quality of life in school students aged 11-12 yrs. Study design: In the school year 1996/97, a quasi-experimental study was initiated in Granada province with four groups of students aged 6-7 yrs: Sealant + Fluoride (sealants on first permanent molars applied in the health centre for a 3-yr active programme, and fluoride varnish applied every four months for 3 yrs, n=65), Sealant (only sealants, n=80), Fluoride (only fluoride varnish, n=107) and Control group (n=59). The purpose of this study was to describe and discuss the way students of the Latvian Academy of Music teach before having entered a teacher training programme. Five hours of students’ teaching work was video-taped, analysed and discussed with them between the spring of 2010 and the winter of 2011. The descriptive and analytic results of this study were also contrasted with their own views on pedagogy, which were drawn from a previous study that had been conducted with the same students and their peers in the fall of 2009. En este estudio cuasi-experimental pre-test post-test sin grupo control, se analizaron los efectos de un programa de intervencion, cuyo objetivo fue mejorar el bienestar de los educadores a traves de la satisfaccion de las necesidades de competencia y de autonomia. Participaron 55 educadores, 24 hombres y 31 mujeres (M edad = 33,6; DT = 8,1) que trabajaban en Centros de Proteccion de Menores de la Comunidad Valenciana. An efficient framework for the elasto-plastic reliability assessment of uncertain wind excited systems

Abstract In this paper a method to efficiently evaluate the reliability of elastic-perfectly plastic structures is proposed. The method is based on combining dynamic shakedown theory with Subset Simulation. In particular, focus is on describing the shakedown behavior of uncertain elasto-plastic systems driven by stochastic wind loads. The ability of the structure to shakedown is assumed as a limit state separating plastic collapse from a safe, if not elastic, state of the structure.
