Abstract Purpose The prevalence of "ocal allergic rhinitis" within individuals suffering from perennial rhinitis remains uncertain, and patients usually are diagnosed with non-allergic rhinitis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of a potential "local allergic rhinitis" in subjects suffering from non-allergic rhinitis in a non-selected group of young students. Introduction: The significance of the association between allergic rhinitis and abnormal airway responsiveness is unclear. For this reason, we have studied, in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis, non specific bronchial hyperreactivity, total serum IgE and blood eosinophils, with reference to the responsible allergen, during and out of the pollen season. Darba mērķis: jauna parametra (deguna vārstules indeksa) izpēte, identificējot cilpas rinomanometriskajās līknēs kā deguna vārstules aktivitāties pazīmi. Skaitliski novērtēt rinomanometrijas cilpu nozīmi ar deguna vārstules indeksa palīdzību. Materiāli un metodes: rinomanometrijas dati tika iegūti no 250 pacientiem (veicot aktīvas priekšējās rinomanometrijas mērījumus), ar rinomanometru 4RHINO (RhinolabGermany), programmatūras versijā 4.31 un 5.01. Mērījumi tika veikti pirms dekongestantu lietošanas un pēc dekongestantu lietošanas, atkārtojot mērījumus pēc 10 minūtēm. Deguna vārstules indekss tika atlasīts un pievienots "HRR-Export-file".
