Barriers to open e-learning in public administrations

Abstract This article presents a comparative study of the barriers to open e-learning in public administrations in Luxembourg, Germany, Montenegro and Ireland. It discusses the current state of open e-learning of public administration employees at the local government level and derives the barriers to such learning. This paper's main contribution is its presentation of an empirical set of barriers in the four European countries. The Medication Use Patterns, Treatment Satisfaction, and Inadequate Control of Osteoporosis Study (MUSIC-OS) is a prospective, observational study of women with osteoporosis in Europe and Canada. [ES]: Se realiza un estudio comparativo desagregado por sexos de la producción científica en literatura de los investigadores que trabajan en instituciones españolas. Se han identificado 806 autores que han publicado algún trabajo de literatura en revistas indexadas en la WoS hasta el año 2017, analizando comparativamente su productividad y patrones de colaboración considerando la variable sexo. El 55.51 % de los autores identificados fueron hombres frente a un 44.49 % de mujeres. Los resultados muestran que entre los grandes productores del ámbito de la literatura predominan los hombres. Investigating elementary school students’ text-based argumentation with multiple online information resources

In this study, we explored how elementary school students used multiple information resources in responding to a text-based argumentation task asking them to research a set of online texts in order to state and justify their stance on a controversial health-related issue. Results showed that most students took a stance that was consistent with the majority of the information resources that they read, that they mainly drew on more reliable resources in their written task products, and that they justified their stance by providing one or more supporting reasons.
