In recent years, the debate in the field of applications of Deep Learning to Virtual Screening has focused on the use of neural embeddings with respect to classical descriptors in order to encode both structural and physical properties of ligands and/or targets. Multidirectional Scratch Detection and Restoration in Digitized Old Images

Line scratches are common defects in old archived videos, but similar imperfections may occur in printed images, in most cases by reason of improper handling or inaccurate preservation of the support. Once an image is digitized, its defects become part of that image. Many state-of-the-art papers deal with long, thin, vertical lines in old movie frames, by exploiting both spatial and temporal information. In this paper we aim to face with a more challenging and general problem: the analysis of line scratches in still images, regardless of their orientation, color, and shape. We present a detection/restoration method to process this defect.

The paper analyzes the regulation of the extension of the fixed-term contract in the regulatory framework outlined by Legislative Decree n. 81/2015, before and after the changes made by l. n. 96/2018 (c.d. "Dignity Decree"). Starting from the absence of a sharp rule about the form that the extension must cover, the author outlines the reasons why the written form is needed for the validity of the deed, especially in the cases where the extension of the term of duration does not require a justification. The study of the coins found in the indigenous settlements of Caltanissetta province and the analysis of the related contexts of provenance, have highlighted that in these centers, still in the 4th century BC, the coin was considered a worthless piece of metal and that other bronze objects were used as medium of exchange. It is remarkable the discovery in this territory of three “mixed” hoards, including not only coins, but also of bronze scraps and small fragmentary objects. These elements seem to show a late achievement, among those communities, of an economy based on the exclusive use of coins, that was a peculiar expression of the Greek culture

The study analyzes five hoards from some indigenous centers of Sicily, paying particular attention above all to the methods of deposition and the context of discovery in order to advance reflections on their function and destination. Since these are complexes found in the vicinity or within sacred places, it is however possible to further circumscribe the interpretative possibilities.
