Bakalaura darba “Laika apzīmējumi Homēra Odisejas valodā” mērķis ir izpētīt laika apzīmējumu formu un funkcionējumu Homēra Odisejas valodā. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi, bakalaura darba teorētiskajā daļā apskatīti gan mūsdienu zinātnieku pētījumu materiāli par Homēra eposu Odiseja, gan Aristoteļa teorētiskās atziņas par episko stilu. Apskatīta arī teorētiskā literatūra par vārda semantiku. Darba gaitā tika pētīta laika apzīmējumu nozīme eposa kontekstā. Pētījuma procesā atklāts, ka laika apzīmējumi palīdz saprast laiktelpu, kurā notiek darbība. Tāpat tie padara tekstu izteiksmīgu, jo atrodami arī, piemēram, metaforiski un formulveida laika apzīmējumi, un arī tādi, kas dažādos veidos apraks…

Tutkielmassa käsitellään yhteiskunnallisen äitiyden ilmiötä ja sen toteutumista jyväskyläläisten naisten toiminnassa vuosina 1920–25. Päämääränä on selvittää yhteiskunnallisen auttamisen ja kansallisen puhtauden puolesta toimineiden naisten tekemä työ, miten sitä käytännössä toteutettiin ja millaisena toimijanaiset itse työnsä kokivat. Yhteiskunnallisen äitiyden ilmiössä oli kyse naisten äidillisestä toiminnasta, joka ei enää kohdistunut vain kotiin ja omaan lähipiiriin, vaan myös ympäröivään yhteiskuntaan. The main goal of this PhD thesis concerns the development of artificial metallonucleases based on copper(II)-1,2,4-triazole compounds. In order to do so, we have obtained metal compounds of different nuclearities by reaction of a new family of 1,2,4-triazole ligands with copper(II) salts. The ligands own the characteristic triazole properties upon coordinating to metals and also integrate DNA binding units (aromatic moieties) with the aim of increasing the affinity of the corresponding metal complexes to double strand DNA. For some years now, an idea has been imposed: the nature/culture opposition needs to be rethought deeply. Both the notion of culture and that of nature have nothing universal and necessary, least of all their relationship. Philosophers, anthropologists and sociologists of science have thus begun to deconstruct the evidence that covers the concept of nature. Examining from a semiotic point of view some dictionary entries, this article tries to go in the same direction. It turns out that nature is cultural construction, and every culture forges it differently.

We report the first direct determination of the ground-state to ground-state electron-capture $Q$-value for the $^{72}$As to $^{72}$Ge decay by measuring their atomic mass difference utilizing the double Penning trap mass spectrometer, JYFLTRAP. The $Q$-value was measured to be 4343.596(75)~keV, which is more than a 50-fold improvement in precision compared to the value in the most recent Atomic Mass Evaluation 2020. Furthermore, the new $Q$-value was found to be 12.4(40)~keV (3.1 $\sigma$) lower. Background: The STEP 5 trial (NCT03693430) investigated once-weekly (OW) subcutaneous semaglutide 2.4 mg vs placebo for the treatment of overweight/obesity in adults over 2 years. Methods: Adults w ith B MI ≥ 3 0 k g/m2, or ≥27 kg/m2 and ≥ 1 weight-related comorbidity, without diabetes, were randomized 1:1 to semaglutide 2.4 mg OW or placebo for 104 weeks. Lai gan onomatopoēze ieņem nozīmīgu lomu dzejas un prozas tekstā, tā ir visai maz pētīta parādība kā latviešu valodniecībā, tā lingvistikā kopumā. Darbā tiek izvērtēta onomatopoēzes atveidei piemēroto stratēģiju semantiskā un stilistiskā precizitāte Džeimsa Džoisa stilistiski polifoniskā darba “Uliss” Dzintara Soduma tulkojumā. Tiek secināts, ka, saskaņā ar Vinē un Darbelnē, kā arī Andrē Lefevera tulkošanas stratēģiju taksonomijām, visplašāk lietotā stratēģija ir burtisks tulkojums, kas, pateicoties angļu un latviešu valodas ģenealoģiskai radniecībai, lielākoties vērtējama kā stilistiski un semantiski motivēta izvēle leksiski onomatopoētisku elementu atveidē, kamēr neleksiskas onomatopoēzes…
Atomic layer deposition of AlN from AlCl3 using NH3 and Ar/NH3 plasma

The atomic layer deposition (ALD) of AlN from AlCl3 was investigated using a thermal process with NH3 and a plasma-enhanced (PE)ALD process with Ar/NH3 plasma. The growth was limited in the thermal process by the low reactivity of NH3, and impractically long pulses were required to reach saturation. Despite the plasma activation, the growth per cycle in the PEALD process was lower than that in the thermal process (0.4A ° vs 0.7A ° ). However, the plasma process resulted in a lower concentration of impurities in the films compared to the thermal process. The Recovery of the Optimal Damping Constant by the MRF Damper

In this paper was studied a method to analyze the recovering of optimal damping constant because of temperature increasing in a shock absorber. The increasing on temperature leads to decreasing that constant by mean dynamic viscosity such to modify the dynamic behavior of a 2DOF system built-up by sprung and unsprung mass. A MagnetoRheological damper was designed according with the desired optimal damping constant once fixed temperature design. It was seen that the increasing of temperature this constant is lost.
