Semi-compatible and reciprocally continuous maps in weak non-Archimedean Menger PM-spaces

In this paper, we introduce semi-compatible maps and reciprocally continuous maps in weak non-Archimedean PM-spaces and establish a common fixed point theorem for such maps. Moreover, we show that, in the context of reciprocal continuity, the notions of compatibility and semi-compatibility of maps become equivalent. Our result generalizes several fixed point theorems in the sense that all maps involved in the theorem can be discontinuous even at the common fixed point.

Hybrid bases for varieties of semigroups

We consider the lower part of the lattice of varieties of semigroups. We present finite bases of hybrid identities for the varieties of normal bands, commutative bands and abelian groups of finite exponent. The variety A n,0 of abelian groups provides an example of a variety which has no finite base of hyperidentities (cf. [12]) but has a finite base of hybrid identities.

Quantum extensions of semigroups generated by Bessel processes

We construct a quantum extension of the Markov semigroup of the classical Bessel process of orderv≥1 to the noncommutative von Neumann algebra s(L2(0, +∞)) of bounded operators onL2(0, +∞).

Incomparable Banach spaces and operator semigroups

Using the notions of total incomparability and total coincomparability of Banach spaces, we define two families of operator semigroups. We show that these semigroups are minimal, in the sense that they admit a perturbative characterization. Moreover, they allow us to characterize the corresponding incomparability classes.

Construction of chaotic dynamical system

The first‐order difference equation xn+ 1 = f(xn ), n = 0,1,…, where f: R → R, is referred as an one‐dimensional discrete dynamical system. If function f is a chaotic mapping, then we talk about chaotic dynamical system. Models with chaotic mappings are not predictable in long‐term. In this paper we consider family of chaotic mappings in symbol space S 2. Relatively Orthocomplemented Skew Nearlattices in Rickart Rings

AbstractA class of (right) Rickart rings, called strong, is isolated. In particular, every Rickart *-ring is strong. It is shown in the paper that every strong Rickart ring R admits a binary operation which turns R into a right normal band having an upper bound property with respect to its natural order ≤; such bands are known as right normal skew nearlattices. Le parole della musica nella Divina Commedia

L'Autrice analizza un ampio corpus delle parole legate alla musica nella Divina Commedia, esaminando le differenze nelle occorrenze delle tre cantiche e giustificando le differenze stesse. Dei lessemi viene presentata un'analisi condotta secondo gli approcci propri della linguistica cognitiva, nello specifico quello semasiologico e quello onomasiologico. Mentre la parola 'musica ' non è attesta, molto diffuso è il termine 'canto' nel valore proprio e in quello metaforico.
