Learning in sport : from life skills to existential learning

Youth sport is habitually promoted as an important context for learning that contributes to a person’s broader development beyond sport-specific skills. A growing body of research in this area has operated within a life skills discourse that focuses on useful, positive and decontextualised skills in the production of successful and adaptive citizens. Reviewing public communications emitted during health crises in the last thirty years is useful for verifying that there are a number of repeated mistakes: for example, untrained spokespeople with poor communication skills, ambiguous messages, lack of communication plans for the crisis, and improvisation, which ends up with the transmission of alarming messages to the population and contributes to administrations being considered suspicious or untrustworthy by the people. Un proyecto de biología sintética para la motivación y aprendizaje de los estudiantes del primer curso del Grado en Biotecnología.

[ES] En el presente trabajo presentamos un proyecto de biología sintética de nivel profesional adaptado a estudiantes de primer curso. Describimos las adaptaciones necesarias para hacerlo asequible para unas prácticas de laboratorio, tanto a nivel pedagógico como en cuanto a la viabilidad económica de los materiales utilizados. El proyecto pretende la motivación de los estudiantes del Grado en Biotecnología mediante la introducción temprana de la actividad profesional real en biomedicina, así como la adquisición de una serie de competencias del trabajo práctico en el laboratorio imprescindibles para el biotecnólogo en formación.
