Tragico e tragedia in "una questione privata"

The article focuses on the theoretical concepts of ‘Tragic’ and ‘Tragedy’, here applied to the novel Una questione privata by Beppe Fenoglio (originally published in 1963). The first part mostly regards the similarities between Una questione privata and dramatic structures (both theatrical and cinematographic) that Fenoglio could have read at that time. A short comparison with ancient Greek tragedy, in particular with Sophocles’ piece Oedipus, closes the first part. In the second one, the Author conducts a thematic analysis on textual premonitions of Milton’s tragic fate in Una questione privata.

Ricostruendo le tappe del fecondo rapporto di scambio dialettico che lega il drammaturgo tedesco del '900 all'attore e regista russo e al drammaturgo teorico della drammaturgia della compassione del 700, si analizza un caso di tormentata ricezione. In both Aeschylus’ Agamemnon and Euripides’ Trojan Women, Cassandra plays the role of tragic heroine, subjected to Apollo’s manipulation, aware of the past and the present of the house of Atreus and able to predict the future; but on stage the people she speaks with do not seem to understand her predictions and are not persuaded by her words. The aim of the paper is to focus on the main features of the tragic character of Cassandra in Aeschylus and Euripides and to investigate the levels of manipulation and communication.

This essay review explores not only the anthropological roots of risk and paradise, but also the journalist discourse to cover the event. Far from the general opinion, disasters affect tourism, we strongly believe it strengths its attractiveness.

Tyranny is often regarded as "a perennial problem" (Boesche 1996) on the basis of its ubiquitous presence in literature. Even more enduring is the problem of how to define human nature, its place in the environment, and its relationship to the divine – a core issue of philosophical anthropology (Pansera 2001, Honenberger 2015). In the present paper, I shall approach the literary construction of the tyrant figure in Greek and Roman tragedy from the holistic perspective of philosophical anthropology.
