Highlights • Gastric neuroendocrine neoplasms (g-NENs) represent the most frequent digestive NENs and are increasingly recognized thanks to diffusion of upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. • g-NENs can be sporadic or associated with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN-1) and present with a functional Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. • We described a case of a 60 years old Caucasian male came to emergency room with diffuse abdominal pain and leukocytosis on blood tests. • At the level of the pyloric portion we found irregularly thickened walls associated with a small fluid collection and bubbles of free air. Abstract Background Sentinel lymph node biopsy is the gold standard surgical technique for axillary staging in patients with clinically node-negative. However, it is still uncertain what is the optimal number of sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) to be removed to reduce the false-negative rate. An increase in CNS tumor rates during the past decades has been observed in a number of countries. Rectal carcinomas are amongst the most common malignant tumours. The aim of this work was to determine whether high resolution CT with thin sections (1 mm) can provide satisfactory delineation of perirectal tumour infiltration. Correct determination of local tumour spread was possible in four out of nine patients and distinction between those tumours confined to the rectal wall and those infiltrating the perirectal tissues was possible in four out of eight patients.
