Darba mērķis ir definēt galvenās tēmas un metodes, kas izmantotas, veidojot Apple zīmolam piederošo produktu un funkciju nosaukumus, kā arī partneru izmantotos nosaukumus, uz kuriem Apple atsaucas, lai pilnveidotu sava zīmola stāstu. Pētījuma gaitā tika analizētas izvēlētas Apple oficiālās reklāmas, analizējot, kā reklāmās minēto zīmolu nosaukumu nozīme atklājas semiotiski, pragmatiski, semantiski un kā šī nozīme palīdz pilnveidot Apple zīmola stāstu. Reading skills are more and more required to succeed professional examination. French crane drivers are concerned with this problem. In order to help them, we have conducted a study with three main steps. First, we carried out a cognitive work analysis. Second, we test several analogical modalities of written presentations focusing on the construction of a specific simulator. Finally, two experiments are presented showing a significative effect of this simulator on the comprehension of cranes technical documentation.

Teacher as creator: Orchestrating the learning environment to promote learner development

Sociocultural theory (SCT) is a powerful basis for exploring and guiding L2 (second/foreign language) learner development. For the most part, however, the focus of classroom SCT-L2 has been on single activities, for example, teacher mediation of learners’ writing process or peer scaffolding. Argument graph as a tool for promoting collaborative online reading

This study explored how the construction of an argument graph promotes students' collaborative online reading compared to note-taking. Upper secondary school students (n = 76) worked in pairs. The pairs were asked to search for and read source material on the Web for a joint essay and either construct an argument graph or take notes during online reading. The data consist of transcription protocols of student pairs' discussions and joint essays. Crossing Boundaries: Bodily Paradigms in Jeanette Winterson’s Fiction 1985-2000

Since the publication of her first novel, Jeanette Winterson has been acclaimed as one of the most promising writers on the English postmodern literary scene. This study takes into consideration seven works, from Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit (1985) to The PowerBook (2000) in which Winterson codifies bodies as culturally constructed signs which can be re-signified and transformed. PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to explore the use of the prototype of a mobile application for the enhancement of children's motivation for writing.
