Abstract Angiotensin II (Ang-II) is associated with atherogenesis and arterial subendothelial mononuclear leukocyte infiltration. We have demonstrated that Ang-II causes the initial attachment of mononuclear cells to the arteriolar endothelium. We now report on the contribution of CC chemokines to this response. Despite many pathophysiological analyses, the process of tumor dissemination of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains vague. So, genes encoding inflammatory or antiinflammatory molecules are good candidates for the risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVD), as acute myocardial infarction (AMI). In this study we demonstrated that genetic variations in CCR5 gene affect atherosclerosis and risk of AMI, hence consenting the attainment of longevity.
