Nanoporous alumina membranes filled with solid acid for thin film fuel cells at intermediate temperatures

2004

Thin film fuel cells have been fabricated by impregnation of inorganic porous membranes with inorganic proton conductor. Anodic alumina membranes (50 μm thick and pore diameter of 200 nm), filled with CsHSO4 salt have been used as protonic conductor in a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell working between 423 and 443 K in dry atmosphere. Polarization curves at 433 K showing ohmic control with open circuit values near 0.8 V and short circuit current around 8 mA cm−2 have been obtained. Possible causes of degradation as well as alternative routes to overcome some of the problems encountered with this approach will be reported. Signals of intensification and attenuation in orchestra and choir conduction

2017

Based on a model of communication according to which not only words but also body signals constitute lexicons (Poggi, 2007), the study presented aimes at building a lexicon of conductors’ multimodal behaviours requesting intensification and attenuation of sound intensity. In a corpus of concerts and rehearsals, the conductors’ body signals requesting to play or sing forte, piano, crescendo, diminuendo were analysed through an annotation scheme describing the body signals, their meanings, and their semiotic devices: generic codified (the same as in everyday language); specific codified (shared with laypeople but with specific meanings in conduction); direct iconic, (resemblance between visua…

[Fe(sal2-trien)][Ni(dmit)2]: towards switchable spin crossover molecular conductors

2004

A cooperative spin transition behaviour with a wide hysteresis loop (30 K) around 240 K has been observed, for the first time, in a salt based on the redox active [Ni(dmit)2]¯, anion and the [Fe(sal2-trien)]+ spin crossover cation. Real Cabezos, Jose Antonio, Jose.A.Real@uv.es

Dilemmaer i skandinavisk korlederutdanning

2021

Within higher education, programmes in choral conducting are offered of varying kinds and at different levels, from dedicated programmes to single courses that are embedded in other music programmes. The choral practice field is varied; choral leadership is partly a generic music competence and partly a profession. The variety and social reach of the choral movement suggest that the educational offering in choral conducting should be manifold in type and quantity in order to supply the practice field with qualified conductors. n this chapter we take a renewed look at material from three previous studies: (1) a mapping of Scandinavian choral leader education, based on document analysis and i…

Mathematical modelling of alternating electromagnetic and hydrodynamic fields, induced by bar type conductors in a cylinder

2009

The heating of buildings by ecologically clean and compact local devices is an interesting and actual problem. One of the modern areas of applications developed during last ten years is an effective usage of electrical energy by alternating current to produce heat energy. This work presents the mathematical model of one of such devices. It is a finite cylinder with viscous incompressible liquid and with metal electrodes of the form of bars placed parallel to the cylinder axis in the liquid. These conductors are connected to the alternating current. First published online: 14 Oct 2010

Proton Dynamics in In:BaZrO3: Insights on the Atomic and Electronic Structure from X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy

2009

The local structure of Ba2+, Zr4+, and In3+ in In:BaZrO3 is investigated with EXAFS for samples having 0 to 75% In3+ content. It is found that indium can be inserted in any ratio in the host matrix oxide and that the oxygen coordination shell displays an In-O distance very similar to the Zr-O length. In the Zr-rich compositions, there is a preferred dopant-vacancy association that, however, does not give rise to dopant-proton interaction in the hydrated samples. The tendency of Ba2+ to be attracted toward the dopant site is attributed to the electrostatic interaction with the dopant and to the structural rearrangement around the In3+ site. Third cumulant analysis at high temperatures (up to…

Les matériaux pour capteurs chimiques

2002

National audience; A chemical sensor is composed of one part supplying chemical reco gnition coupled to one transducingsystem. At the recognition origin, interaction with the target chemical species is oftwo types, either electronicexchange, or ionic exchange. Two large classes of materials that can supply recognition proceed: metals andsemiconductors giving rise to electronic exchange and ionic conducting materials giving rise to ionic exchan-ge. This paper is structured in tw o large parts, emphasizing on materi als inducing specific interactions:semiconductor materials (metallic oxides and molecular semiconductors) and ionic conductor materials. In each part will be presented nature of ma…

Conductive and Capacitive Properties of the Bipolar Membrane Junction Studied by AC Impedance Spectroscopy

2001

The complete ac impedance spectrum of four bipolar membranes is analyzed both theoretically and experimentally taking into account both ionic transport and water dissociation together with the structural aspects of the bipolar junction. A theoretical model based on the Nernst-Planck and Poisson equations for the conductive and capacitive properties of the junction provides a qualitative description of the bipolar membranes for a broad range of electric currents and temperatures. Special attention is paid to the characteristics of the bipolar junction structure and the contact region between the two ion-exchange layers. It is observed that the effective area of this region increases with the…

Considering lithium-ion battery 3D-printing via thermoplastic material extrusion and polymer powder bed fusion

2021

Abstract In this paper, the ability to 3D print lithium-ion batteries through Pmnbspace thermoplastic material extrusion and polymer powder bed fusion is considered. Focused on the formulation of positive electrodes composed of polypropylene, LiFePO4 as active material, and conductive additives, advantages and drawbacks of both additive manufacturing technologies, are thoroughly discussed from the electrochemical, electrical, morphological and mechanical perspectives. Based on these preliminary results, strategies to further optimize the electrochemical performances are proposed. Through a comprehensive modeling study, the enhanced electrochemical suitability at high current densities of va…

ChemInform Abstract: Electrical Conductive Coordination Polymers

2012

Coordination polymers are currently one of the hottest topics in Inorganic and Supramolecular Chemistry. This critical review summarizes the current state-of-the-art on electrical conductive coordination polymers (CPs), also named metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). The data were collected following two sort criteria of the CPs structure: dimensionality and bridging ligands (151 references).
