Clathration of Five-Membered Aromatic Rings in the Bimetallic Spin Crossover Metal–Organic Framework [Fe(TPT)2/3{MI(CN)2}2]·G (MI = Ag, Au)

Six clathrate compounds of the three-dimensional spin crossover metal−organic framework formulated [Fe(TPT)2/3{MI (CN)2}2]· nG, where TPT is 2,4,6-tris(4-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine, MI = Ag or Au and G represent the guest molecules furan, pyrrole and thiophene, were synthesized using slow diffusion techniques. The clathrate compounds were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction at 120 and 300 K, thermogravimetric analysis and thermal dependence of the magnetic susceptibility. How to support energy policy coordination? Findings from the Brazilian wind industry

Abstract Despite a growing sense of urgency, the deployment of clean technologies has been affected by fragmentation of energy policy design and implementation. In some case, wicked policy issues around renewable energy infrastructure have delayed or even halted the uptake of renewables. To find possible answer to consistent policy design that involves public/private institutions of the electricity sector, the authors propose the adoption of a dynamic performance management approach to support the energy policy coordination.

A Heterobimetallic Anionic 3,6-Connected 2D Coordination Polymer Based on Nitranilate as Ligand

In order to synthesize new coordination polymers with original architectures and interesting magnetic properties, we used the nitranilate ligand (C₆O₄(NO₂)₂2- = C₆N₂O₈2-), derived from the dianionic ligand dhbq2- (2,5-dihydroxy-1,4-benzoquinone = H₂C₆O₄2-). The use of this bis-bidentate bridging ligand led to [(DAMS)₂{FeNa(C₆N₂O₈)₃}·CH₃CN]n (1) (DAMS⁺ = C16H17N₂⁺ = 4-[4-(dimethylamino)-α-styryl]-1-methylpyridinium), a 2D heterometallic coordination polymer presenting an unprecedented structure for any anilato-based compound. Single-Crystal-to-Single-Crystal Anion Exchange in a Gadolinium MOF: Incorporation of POMs and [AuCl4]−

The encapsulation of functional molecules inside porous coordination polymers (also known as metal-organic frameworks, MOFs) has become of great interest in recent years at the field of multifunctional materials. In this article, we present a study of the effects of size and charge in the anion exchange process of a Gd based MOF, involving molecular species like polyoxometalates (POMs), and [AuCl4]−. This post-synthetic modification has been characterized by IR, EDAX, and single crystal diffraction, which have provided unequivocal evidence of the location of the anion molecules in the framework.

Abstract A set of teaching materials dealing with harmonic oscillations was developed as part of a research project investigating the influence of different pedagogical tools on physics learning. The materials incorporate simulation software and laboratory activities associated with Teacher and Student Units. Interpersonal Coordination in Dyadic Performance

Dyadic musical performance provides an excellent framework to study interpersonal coordination because it involves multiple agents performing matched, rhythmic and/or interactive behaviors. In this chapter, we explore interpersonal coordination using Canonical Correlation Analysis as a coupling measure. To provide some context when interpreting the output of CCA, musicians performed using different expressive manners (deadpan, normal, exaggerated). Overall the results showed the normal performances were slightly more interpersonally coordinated than deadpan and exaggerated. peerReviewed
