Background: Although the contexts, structures and administrations of early childhood education (ECE) may differ internationally, effective pedagogical leadership remains an essential component in supporting young children’s development and learning. This paper reports on a comparative study which considered ECE in two different settings, Finland and Florida, providing insight into teachers’ perspectives on the characteristics of pedagogical leadership. Announced in 2005, the encyclical of Pope Francis: Laudato Si: On Care for our Common Home, is a dramatic appeal to change the attitude towards the environment and to take action to save it. The analysis was carried out from the viewpoint of ecolinguistics, and the criterion of the so-called environmental adequacy. At the center of attention was the problem of anthropocentrism, which for ecolinguists is the main “contamination ” of the language and the source of improper relations between man and nature. Przedmiotem analizy w artykule jest tekst sztuki teatralnej Elegance molekuly (2018) Petra Zelenki. Czeski dramatopisarz rekonstruuje w niej historię chemika Antonína Holego, którego badania przyczyniły się do wynalezienia m. in. leków antyretrowirusowych hamujących rozwój syndromu AIDS. Dzięki wykorzystaniu przez Zelenkę wszystkich trzech warstw mitu AIDS, jakie wyróżniła polska antropolożka Monika Sznajderman, prawdziwa historia firmy Gilead Sciences jest przyczynkiem do zaprezentowania kulturowego obrazu choroby oraz wywołanej przezeń epidemii w latach 80. i 90. Lai gan netrūkst pētījumu par jautājumiem, kas saistīti ar ātro modi, ilgtspējīgu patēriņu, plašsaziņas līdzekļiem un pārliecinošo diskursu, ir salīdzinoši nedaudz pētījumu, kuros pievērsta uzmanība ātrās modes pārliecinošajai valodai, salīdzinot to ar ilgtspējīgu patēriņu.Tādēļ bakalaura darba mērķis ir noteikt pārliecināšanas līdzekļus, kas tiek lietoti, diskutējot par ātrās modes un ilgtspējības tēmām. Pētījums ir veikts, izmantojot satura analīzi. Fan fiction offers rich data to explore readers’ understanding of gendered discourses informing the narrative construction of fictional and real-life identities. This paper focuses on gender identity construction in self-insertion fan fiction texts – stories that involve avatars of fan writers – based on Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight novels. In the contemporary Polish Catholic discourse one can notice increased presence of figure of Satan and Biblical topos of his fight with God. The figure appears not only in strictly religious texts but also in discussion on up to date phenomenon of social life, such as abortion, in-vitro fertilization, homosexual partnerships and others. The article takes a diachronic look at feminatives in the Polish language from the sixteenth century to the present day. The authors recall the history of female forms in the language. Referring to pre-war journalism, discussions in the journal Poradnik Językowy [The Linguistic Guide] and the propaganda lexis of communist Poland, they prove that female forms are not foreign to the Polish language. They create a comprehensive list of reasons why feminatives have disappeared from Polish, taking account of both intra-linguistic and extra-linguistic factors.
