Analysis of the types of answers given by university students when reading images about movement

This work analyzes the procedures that students use when they are interpreting the illustrations contained in textbooks of Sciences about the movement of bodies. Many factors influence the interpretation of illustrations, including: the students’ alternative conceptions, the clarity of the data, and the strategies used to approach the content. In order to collect data, tests were designed and taken before and after teaching the topic. The results obtained show that the illustrations offer a superficial treatment of the data and the degree of symbolic representation influences how one approaches the information contained in them

The functioning and organization of an educational hospital unit of Valencia is described, through observation, field diary and documental analysis (during February to May 2016). Also, it is designed and implemented an educational project through the story The zebra Camila for students of early childhood education hospitalized in the Pediatric Oncology Service. Se presenta un espacio web, con formato de red social. Creada en 2009 por el grupo de investigación UAM-PR:007 “Recursos digitales para la Educación Artística”, pretende facilitar el desarrollo de actitudes abiertas y críticas ante la sociedad actual desdoblada entre el mundo real y el virtual, facilitar el aprendizaje continuo y a la actualización permanente que requiere el ejercicio de nuestra profesión.

[EN] We present a model based on activities for the acquisition of essential competences of the scientific-technical qualifications, developed throughout the course of Cell Biology of the 1st year of the Degree in Biotechnology. For example, the search and analysis of bibliographic information and the design and interpretation of experiments are closely related and very important competences in the training of the biotechnologist, however they are not well contemplated in a specific way in the study plans. The proposed activities, designed under the premises of the constructive alignment of Biggs and Tang, develop these competences jointly and within the framework of a single subject.

[EN] Multimedia material supports both teachers and students in the teaching-learning process, obtaining satisfactory results. The current educational system uses a mechanical and rigid mechanism in which teaching is fragmented and disconnected by subjects. Our work aims to report a new academic proposal where a new integrative multimedia material is developed about membrane transport between different subjects and degrees in the Health Area. The results were very satisfactory because the students' opinion about the video was very positive and well-rated. This work clarified the need for a change in the educational system.
