Abstract Some recent methods are presented for analyzing categorial data from complex surveys involving clustering familiar in educational research where e.g. teaching groups are used as sample clusters. The methods are introduced through a discussion of the test of independence on a two‐way table and the analysis of a two‐way table using logistic regression models. The analyses are illustrated using data from the First National Assessment of the Finnish Comprehensive School 1979. AbstractThe narrow complex tachycardias (NCTs) are defined by the presence in a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) of a QRS complex duration less than 120ms and a heart rate greater than 100 beats per minute; those are typically of supraventricular origin, although rarely narrow complex ventricular tachycardias have been reported in the literature.As some studies document, to diagnose correctly the NCTs is an arduous exercise because sometimes those have similar presentation on the ECG. 22. Administering Face-To-Face Structured Questionnaires In Tourism Research

Non-sampling errors occur in all social sciences, tourism included. Apart from coverage and non-response, tourism research suffers from noteworthy measurement errors. The limitation and control of non-sampling errors plays a key role to prevent serious biases in research outputs. The entire survey design process could be based on the control and reduction of non-sampling errors. From this point of view, face-to-face interviewing represents an effective response to some common threats to data quality, particularly errors attributable to respondents and non-response.

This paper discusses the features and the structure of the interview forms used within the sample research on tourist mobility carried out in Sicily and Sardinia in years 2009 and 2010. The focus of the paper is on the strategies adopted by the research team in order to control non sampling errors. The limitations of the instruments respect to the secondary purposes of the research will be discussed as well.

A pilot study was conducted in which 6 students with L1 German had to produce a German version of a text they had composed in their L2 English. The goals were to explore (a) in what respects the ability of advanced university English students to express themselves in their L2 English differs from their ability to do so in their L1 German, and (b) for which aspects of writing the implementation of translation exercises is useful as a tool to improve writing skills. A 19-yr-old woman with previously diagnosed clear cell adenocarcinoma was referred to the Charité for further treatment. Biopsies were taken from the cervix, the endometrium, pseudomembranes in the peritoneum, and sentinel lymph nodes. The morphologic picture of pseudomembranes and inflammation together with the provided information about plasminogen deficiency of the patients led to the hypothesis of ligneous cervicitis. The previously taken biopsies of the adenocarcinoma were reevaluated and showed a clear cell lesion. The presence of worms in cytological smears is occasionally reported, although various other structures exist that may be confused with such parasites. We present eight worm-like artifacts observed in routine Papanicolaou smears. Recognition of these structures is important to avoid overvaluation or confusion with true worms. Diagn. Investigation on a MMACHC mutant from cblC disease: The c.394C>T variant

The cblC disease is an inborn disorder of the vitamin B12 (cobalamin, Cbl) metabolism characterized by methylmalonic aciduria and homocystinuria. The clinical consequences of this disease are devastating and, even when early treated with current therapies, the affected children manifest symptoms involving vision, growth, and learning. The illness is caused by mutations in the gene codifying for MMACHC, a 282aa protein that transports and transforms the different Cbl forms.
