In this article, the research topic is to develop an evaluation model for social work with substance abusers. It is studied by presenting an example of how the evaluation process could be carried out in practice. The study has been implemented with the Department of Social Services and Health Care’s Centre for Recovering Substance Abusers in Finland (RSA Centre). Gli Autori, dopo aver descrittole caratteristiche ambientali del sottobacino Iudeo Bucari e l’attività agricola prevalentemente legataalla vitivinicoltura, descrivono alcune prove di vinificazione di uve Grillo provenienti da tre vignesite nel sottobacino Iudeo – Bucari gestite in modo ordinario, delle quali si è monitorata la maturazione delle uve. L'obiettivo è quello di caratterizzare il prodotto vino ottenuto attraverso una tecnica di vinificazione uniforme ed ordinaria nella zona, ma che mira a mettere in evidenza la diversa qualità tecnologica delle uve utilizzate espressione dicontesti eco-pedologici diversi.

Interest in studying teaching practices has increased, because of the need to evaluate teachers and dissatisfaction with the usual ways of doing it. Recent approaches with Value-Added Models, based on students’ results on achievement tests do not seem satisfactory. The article is based on a review of literature and classifies the approaches to practices in three groups: instruments based on information given by teachers; observation protocols; and approaches based on the analysis of products of the practices. This dissertation comprises four empirical research articles that use personnel data from a large university and worker-level panel data from Finland to examine the determinants of wages, promotions and employee performance evaluations. The first article employs personnel data to examine the importance of worker output and job seniority as predictors of employee performance evaluations and promotions. The results suggest that better-performing employees – with output measured both in absolute terms and relative to peers – were more likely to be assigned higher performance grades and had a higher probability of being promoted to more complex jobs than their peers with similar characteristics…

OBJECTIVE: This study investigates the association between depressive symptoms and multisite pain and health-related quality of life and work ability in currently employed health care workers with recurrent low back pain (LBP). METHODS: Multisite pain, depressive symptoms, quality of life, and work ability were assessed by validated questionnaires. A generalized linear model was used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: Notably, 28% of female health care workers with LBP had at least moderate levels of depressive symptoms. Our objective is to encourage the human-computer interface designers to be more interested in the uses made of their product by taking into account to a higher degree the human-factor in the testing phase which often is too focused on technical aspects. We want to facilitate the integration of the user as a source of evaluation during the testing phase. Our aim is to offer the designer a software environment of practical tests that allow them to have their own products evaluated by their users. We undertook an experiment to explore the feasibility of this project.
