Kirjoittamisen opettamisen disiplinaarisista kamppailuista
2019
Kirjoittamisen rooli koulutuksen kaikilla tasoilla perusopetuksesta korkeakouluun on monimutkainen, hieman provosoivasti sen voi sanoa jopa perversoituneen. Kirjoittaminen on yhä vahvemmin mittaamisen, arvioinnin ja hallinnan väline. Kirjoittamisen roolilla opettajankoulutuksessa on suoria vaikutuksia siihen, miten tulevat opettajat toimivat koulussa.
Expert musical reading is supported by activation of harmony rules during cross-modal integration
2017
International audience; Multisensory integration of musical information is an important process in music reading. Integrate many sensory inputs (visual, auditory, motor) into a coherent pathway emerges during development of musical skill. We hypothesize that more skilled musicians can retrieve information across auditory and visual modalities, activating harmony rules as retrieval cues. The aim of the present research is to investigate this issue using the eye-tracking technique. Musicians (experts and non-experts) were asked to detect as fast as possible a modified note between listening and reading phases. Randomized fragments of classical music were sequentially versus simultaneously dis…
Cous cous teaches that love never stops!
2022
The culinary tradition of cous cous, original from the cou…

This article presents an analysis of the measures taken in three Spanish regions: Madrid, Catalonia and Andalusia in response to students’ reception, acceptance and enrolment of immigrant students. A qualitative methodology based on the comparative method is used. Diverse similarities, but also specific characteristics an…
The Impact of Acculturation on Attitudinal Familism in a Community of Puerto Rican Americans
1998
The goal of this study was to examine the relationship between acculturation and familism in a samnple of 182 Hispanics of Puerto Rican descent. Exploratory factor analysis was used to establish the multidimensionality of each construct. Consistent with earlier studies, three dimensions of acculturation and familism were identified. Each dimension offamilism was then regressed on a set of explanatory variables that included three dimensions of acculturation. For two dimensions offamilism (familial obligations and support from relatives), acculturation was positively related to familism; for the other dimension (family as referents), the relationship was nonsignificant. In explaining varian…

Mini-Europe—a theme park in Brussels morally supported by the European Commission and the European Parliament—consists of around 350 models of different buildings and heritage sites from all the member states of the European Union. In addition the park includes an exhibition named the Spirit of Europe.
