The first report of the Italian Migraine Registry (I-GRAINE).

Italian Migraine Registry (I-GRAINE) is a multicenter (n = 38), prospective, observational, non-interventional study aimed at providing big data on migraine to ensure proper clinical disease management, according to scientific, and sustainability criteria. We enrolled consecutive patients affected by episodic or chronic migraine according to the systematic random method. Le possibilità offerte dal virtuale, in particolare, offrono oggi un contributo decisivo nella comunicazione dei significati attribuiti ai luoghi e rispondono in modo sempre più efficace ai bisogni emergenti del settore turistico. New technologies have radically transformed not only geography as a discipline but also the geographies of the world. Indeed the digital has assumed an increasingly pervasive mediating role in the production of space as of geographic knowledge and imaginaries. The possibilities offered by the virtual in particular now offer a decisive contribution in communicating the meanings attributed to places and respond increasingly effectively to the emerging needs of the tourism sector. Digitally mediated visitor experiences aim to engage the senses and are effective when they promote rigorously realistic immersions. Within the framework of these reflections the paper highlights the renewed relevance of authenticity both of the tourism experience and of cultural heritage in relation to its potential for attraction and proposes a contextualization of the theme in light of the unprecedented opportunities granted by technologies for the creation of virtual and augmented spaces. The proposed discussion is therefore also a journey aimed at exploring authenticity as a tool through which new technologies can effectively mediate a sense of place and foster brand communication of a destination. The case study is the UNESCO site of Tarragona whose most relevant image for urban policies is presented. This shared figuration spatially defined and rooted in a precise historical moment is reconstructed on the one hand through the analysis of functional documentation for the candidacy and on the other by means of a review of mobile applications developed for the promotion of the city's cultural heritage. The proposed journey and exploration of the place return in light of the research data and in conclusion the central role played by digital technologies in mediating the UNESCO imaginary. The forms of virtual tourism in Tarragona confirm that to travel is to experience a text enveloped in time and inscribed in space.Settore M-GGR/01 - Geografia

L’articolo analizza L’Adamo, ovvero il Mondo creato, poema scientifico-filosofico di Tommaso Campailla (1668-1740), accademico modicano, che partecipò con i suoi esperimenti scientifici e la sua opera letteraria a diffondere la filosofia cartesiana e le nuove mirabili scoperte in ogni campo del sapere. Nel poema Campailla ricorre al motivo tradizionale del viaggio di conoscenza per squadernare al Primo Uomo, Adamo, le straordinarie meraviglie della creazione, tentando una sintesi tra istanze scientifiche e nuove direttrici della poesia settecentesca.

The contribution critically and from a geographical perspective discusses the connection between propaganda comics and cartoons in the period of twentieth-century totalitarianisms. The way in which space real and symbolic is implicated through the rhetoric and dialectics of power in social economic and identity dynamics is then explored. In order to study some aspects of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela from the point of view of cultural geography in Spain the chapter takes into consideration a literary text the autobiographical novel "The pilgrims' ballad" by the French writer Edith De La Héronnière first published in 1993 and translated into Italian in 2004. The novel recounts the experience of the Jacobean pilgrimage carried out by the author in the nineties together with three traveling companions starting from a French journey. In particular through the analysis of some parts of the text the ways in which the narration constructs and describes the physical and symbolic space of the pilgrimage are investigated. In this way it is possible to explore the way in which peculiar attributions of meaning inscribe the experience of pilgrimage in a symbolic universe that is both personal and collective at the same time.

Real-life patient journey in neovascular age-related macular degeneration: a narrative medicine analysis in the Italian setting

Objectives To investigate the real-life experience of patients affected by neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), in the healthcare pathway for the management of the disease, using a "patient journey" and narrative method approach. Methods The patient journey of subjects affected by nAMD was designed using a process-mapping methodology involving a team from 11 Italian centres. Subsequently, narratives were collected from nAMD patients and family members. The interviews were analyzed using the narrative medicine methodology.
