Aquest estudi explora el tema de la satisfacció laboral en el sector educatiu a la Comunitat Valenciana. En concret, el propòsit d'aquesta investigació és determinar si hi ha diferències entre el professorat dels nivells no universitaris en relació amb la seua condició d'home o dona, amb el tipus de contracte laboral que tenen 'temporal versus permanent' i a la titularitat dels col·legis 'públics versus privats' on desenvolupen la seua tasca. En aquest treball s'ha comptat amb una mostra de 209 docents. Studies of patterns of activity in human skeletal remains have grown in number over the last few years. Different methods have been used to reconstruct activity patterns in past populations. In this review of the available literature the common themes of these studies have been isolated in order to show that many studies do not truly conform to the standards of the field. Inadequate sample size, too far-reaching conclusions and neglect of other possible explanations are among the problems easily recognised in the literature. Objectives: To assess the differences in the maternal and fetal outcomes between pharmacological induced and sponta­neous labour in nulliparous women. Material and methods: Observational cohort study carried out over a period of 2 years. Inclusion criteria: nulliparous sin­gleton pregnancies, with cephalic fetal presentation, elective labour induction with intra-vaginal prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) gel (Prepidil® 2 mg) at a gestational age of 41 weeks. The present bioarchaeological study examines the external diaphyseal geometric properties of humeri, radii, femora and tibiae of the Classic period skeletal population of Xcambo, Yucatan, Mexico. The diaphysial proportions are evaluated using a biomechanical approach together with data from the material context and other osteological information. Our intent is to provide new answers to questions concerning lifestyle, domestic labour division and subsistence strategies of this coastal Maya settlement that was inhabited from the Late and Terminal Preclassic (300 BC–350 AD) to the Postclassic Period (900–1500 AD).
