Suullisen kielitaidon harjoittelua vieraissa kielissä sekä asenteita sitä kohtaan on tutkittu melko paljon niin Suomessa, kuin muualla maailmassakin (ks. esim. Mäkelä 2005 tai Yli-Renko ja Salo-Lee 1991). Sen sijaan oppilaiden ja opiskelijoiden halukkuudesta puhua vieraita kieliä, tässä tapauksessa erityisesti englantia, ei suomalaisessa kontekstissa ole tutkimustietoa. Luet Työsuojelurahaston rahoittaman JoKo-hankkeen (Lähijohtaminen kestävän oppimisen edistäjänä työelämässä) loppuraporttia. Tuomme tässä raportissa esille havaintojamme hankkeen aikana kerätyn haastatteluaineiston annista ja toteutetun ryhmävalmennuksen kokemuksista ja luomme niiden pohjalta syvempää ymmärrystä oppimisen kestävyydestä työssä. Suomalaisessa työelämässä painotetaan osaamisen ja jatkuvan oppimisen merkitystä erityisesti asiantuntijatyössä, mutta ymmärrystä oppimisen kestävyydestä meillä on vielä hyvin vähän. This article investigates how staff and management in Norwegian academic libraries have experienced the implementation of the new library management system Alma. As a new library management system is introduced, the need for learning on demand emerges. An anonymous survey was sent to all academic libraries in Norway, resulting in a total of 626 responses. This article presents the findings from this survey and provides some reflections on how a firm grip on knowledge management could have helped make such a transition easier.
