A number of 2-([(phenoxy or phenyl)acetyl]amino)benzoic acid derivatives were prepared in about 50% yield from (phenoxy or phenyl)acetyl chloride and anthranilic acid derivatives. All the compounds were tested as in vitro inhibitors of 3 alpha-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase, since enzyme inhibition predicts potential antiinflammatory activity in vivo. The most active compounds 3 l, m, s are about 3.5 times more active than acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). Activity is influenced by electronic as well as steric effects.
Nanodesign of new self-assembling core-shell gellan-transfersomes loading baicalin and in vivo evaluation of repair response in skin

Gellan nanohydrogel and phospholipid vesicles were combined to incorporate baicalin in new self-assembling core-shell gellan-transfersomes obtained by an easy, scalable method. The vesicles were small in size (~107 nm) and monodispersed (P.I. ≤ 0.24), forming a viscous system (~24 mPa/s) as compared to transfersomes (~1.6 mPa/s), as confirmed by rheological studies. Gellan was anchored to the bilayer domains through cholesterol, and the polymer chains were distributed onto the outer surface of the bilayer, thus forming a core-shell structure, as suggested by SAXS analyses. In this article, we use fixed-point methods and measure of noncompactness theory to focus on the problem of establishing the existence of at least a solution for the following functional integral equation ¶ \[u(t)=g(t,u(t))+\int_{0}^{t}G(t,s,u(s))\,ds,\quad t\in{[0,+\infty[},\] in the space of all bounded and continuous real functions on $\mathbb{R}_{+}$ , under suitable assumptions on $g$ and $G$ . Also, we establish an extension of Darbo’s fixed-point theorem and discuss some consequences.

LetG be a connected Poisson-Lie group. We discuss aspects of the question of Drinfel'd:can G be quantized? and give some answers. WhenG is semisimple (a case where the answer isyes), we introduce quantizable Poisson subalgebras ofC ∞(G), related to harmonic analysis onG; they are a generalization of F.R.T. models of quantum groups, and provide new examples of quantized Poisson algebras.

The RAS oncogenes are frequently mutated in human cancers and among the three isoforms (KRAS, HRAS and NRAS), KRAS is the most frequently mutated oncogene. Here, we demonstrate that a subset of flavaglines, a class of natural anti-tumour drugs and chemical ligands of prohibitins, inhibit RAS GTP loading and oncogene activation in cells at nanomolar concentrations. Treatment with rocaglamide, the first discovered flavagline, inhibited the nanoclustering of KRAS, but not HRAS and NRAS, at specific phospholipid-enriched plasma membrane domains. Así, el artículo se estructura en dos partes. La primera de ellas pretende reconstruir el íter que ha configurado la figura del desplazado medioambiental en el pensamiento académico, tanto desde los estudios medioambientales como desde los migratorios.
