Abstract Opuntia ficus-indica fruit and cladodes are a source of mucilage, a carbohydrate complex, as well as of phytochemicals and other nutrients, useful in the food industry. Word assembly through minimal forbidden words

AbstractWe give a linear-time algorithm to reconstruct a finite word w over a finite alphabet A of constant size starting from a finite set of factors of w verifying a suitable hypothesis. We use combinatorics techniques based on the minimal forbidden words, which have been introduced in previous papers. This improves a previous algorithm which worked under the assumption of stronger hypothesis.
On operads, bimodules and analytic functors

We develop further the theory of operads and analytic functors. In particular, we introduce a bicategory that has operads as 0-cells, operad bimodules as 1-cells and operad bimodule maps as 2-cells, and prove that this bicategory is cartesian closed. In order to obtain this result, we extend the theory of distributors and the formal theory of monads.
Weak-field regime of the generalized hybrid metric-Palatini gravity

In this work we explore the dynamics of the generalized hybrid metric-Palatini theory of gravity in the weak-field, slow-motion regime. We start by introducing the equivalent scalar-tensor representation of the theory, which contains two scalar degrees of freedom, and perform a conformal transformation to the Einstein frame. Linear perturbations of the metric in a Minkowskian background are then studied for the metric and both scalar fields. The effective Newton constant and the PPN parameter $\gamma$ of the theory are extracted after transforming back to the (original) Jordan frame. Joint International Ocean Discovery Program and International Continental Scientific Drilling Program Expedition 364 drilled into the peak ring of the Chicxulub impact crater. We present P-wave velocity, density, and porosity measurements from Hole M0077A that reveal unusual physical properties of the peak-ring rocks. Across the boundary between post-impact sedimentary rock and suevite (impact melt-bearing breccia) we measure a sharp decrease in velocity and density, and an increase in porosity. Velocity, density, and porosity values for the suevite are 2900–3700 m/s, 2.06–2.37 g/cm3, and 20–35%, respectively. The thin (25 m) impact melt rock unit below the suevite has velocity measurements…
