2018

This chapter discusses the results of a series of data on the syntax of subject clitic pronouns in Venetan dialects. The data were gathered through a crowdsourcing tool (google modules), and more than 700 participants took part in the inquiry. The data collection asked for grammaticality judgements on a series of contexts. The main research question was whether the syntax of subject clitics is changing in the language of the younger generation: this question is particularly important because the distribution of the Venetan varieties througout the Veneto region is changing, due to the increasing influence and presence of Italian, which is the L1 of most of the younger speakers. The results s…

Word Order Typology and the Minimalist Program: What Do Parameters Belong To?

2019

One of the problems related with the word order and word order typology is connected with derivation obtaining in the narrow syntax and the conditions responsible for the Full Interpretation requirement at LF as well as at PF. If it is assumed that linearization as defined in Kayne (1994) is the reflexion of the asymmetric character of syntax at PF, then it is worth analysing which properties of the syntactic derivation within the narrow syntax are reflected at PF and which configurations seen on the surface are the results of PF conditions. In other words it would be interesting to determine the boundary between the factors responsible for the configuration of syntactic constituents obtain…

Das Gerundium im Italienischen und Spanischen: Ein syntaktischer Vergleich mit Ausblick auf das Ladinische

2015

2008

This research aims to find the impact of the network shape and structure on the urban mobilities, in order to fight against the automobile dependency and to include the externalities in the network design. Three examples illustrate this objective. The first one shows the influence of the network shape on the pedestrian urban flows. The second one emphasizes how sensitive to the network structure is the efficiency of a very flexible Demand Responsive Transport. The third example demonstrates that the network metric is favourable to the automobile and how it can be possible to apply an alternative metric, called the “slow metric” to reduce the urban sprawling and the automobile dependency.
