Elementary school teachers adapt their instructional support according to students' academic skills – A variable and person-oriented approach

This study examined the longitudinal associations between children’s academic skills and the instructional support teachers gave individual students. A total of 253 Finnish children were tested on reading and math skills twice in the first grade and once in the second grade. The teachers of these children rated the instructional support that they gave each child in reading and mathematics. The results showed that the poorer the student’s reading and math skills were, the more support and attention the student received from his or her teacher later on. Wurmbrand, en effet, introduit dans son manuel une nouveauté pour pourvoir au caractère incomplet de la méthode synthétique : il propose, ainsi, avant chaque exercice, la traduction des seuls termes « radicalement dissemblables » des deux langues « similaires à l’origine » qui caractérisent la langue française et la langue italienne. Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa tutkittiin opiskelijan huomion kohdetta lukion fysiikan tunnilla. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin, vastaako opiskelijan visuaalinen huomio opettajan antamia vihjeitä, kun opettaja opettaa luokassa yhteisesti simulaation avulla. Aineiston kerääminen toteutettiin Tobii Pro Glasses 2 -katseenseurantalaseilla ja SRI-haastattelun avulla ja datan analysointiin käytettiin Microsoft Excel -ohjelmistoa. Luotettavuuden arviointiin käytettiin vertauskoodausta. Tutkimustuloksena oli, että opiskelija seuraa opettajan antamia vihjeitä suurimman osan simulaatio-opetuksen ajasta. Until recently scholars who have examined the diffusion of the Italian language in China have focussed on the People’s Republic of China. However, we have proof of early teaching and cultural activities by Italian schools in China since the late 19th century. Most of them though were run by Catholic missions receiving financial support from the Italian government and initially they did not include language teaching, due to the locals’ lack of interest. Sport sponsorship in Finland: the case study of FC JJK Jyväskylä

This paper seeks to analyse sport sponsorship in Finland via using the case study of Football Club JJK Jyväskylä from the Finnish Premier League. The results of a master’s thesis conducted on FC JJK fans’ sponsor awareness and sponsor orientation is presented. This research has provided implications to the management of the club, such as how to increase sponsorship efficiency, how to benefit from applying sponsorship alignment as well as relationship marketing. In order to successfully implement the study, an online survey, interviews, and participant observation was utilised. In addition, statistical data were obtained from the club.
