Aktywizowanie rozwoju sprawności słuchania w języku polskim jako ojczystym

2020

The aim of the present article is to present the typology of listening comprehension skills activated during Polish language lessons. What the author claims is that in Polish school two types of listening co-exist, namely: natural and activated. The former resembles conditions of natural communication, since a student assumes the role of text recipient, whereas the latter is a process of teaching the skills of listening comprehension. Based on questions and instructions elicited from selected school handbooks shows in what way the activated type of listening comprehension is taught as a part of Polish as a mother tongue lessons.

The efficacy of photodynamic therapy in rat tongue dysplasia

2017

Background Photodynamic therapy (PDT) using 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) has previously shown promising results in cancerous cell destruction. The present study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of this treatment option on oral epithelial dysplasia in Wistar rats. Furthermore, microscopic effects of systemic versus topical administration of ALA before laser illumination was assessed. Material and Methods Thirty male Wistar rats (200- 250 grams) were used in the present study. Tongue dysplasia was induced by a daily delivery of a 20 ppm solution of 4-nitroquinoline -1- oxide (4NQO) for 3 months. Then, rats were divided into 3 groups of 10 including, group 1 that was received systemic ALA…

Dysphagie ohne klinisch erkennbares pathologisches Korrelat: Zum Ausschluss eines Tumorgeschehens des Mundbodens und des Zungengrundes ist die Ultras…

2001

In patients suffering from dysphagia, a tumour of the tongue and its base must be excluded. This is not always possible by means of endoscopy and palpation. In contrast it is possible to visualize deep-seated structures of this region by ultrasound. Unfortunately, this technique is rarely used, as shown in the cases demonstrated. We present five patients suffering from dysphagia for a long period of time (up to 30 years) where ultrasound was not performed and a tumour of the floor of the mouth and the base of the tongue was overlooked. Thus, adequate therapy was delayed, which proved to be especially relevant in three patients suffering from a malignoma. Three patients suffered from a malig…

Geographic stomatitis: An enigmatic condition with multiple clinical presentations

2019

Geographic stomatitis is an uncommon inflammatory condition of unknown etiology. It is characterized by reddish areas surrounded by white borders affecting any location in the oral cavity and presenting a migratory and cyclic pattern. The most common affected sites include buccal mucosa, labial mucosa and mucobuccal fold. Some patients can complain of pain or burning sensation. There are few reports in the literature about this entity and its relationship with other oral and cutaneous conditions such as fissured tongue, Reiter's syndrome, atopy and psoriasis has been suggested but it is still controversial. In the present study we describe three cases of geographic stomatitis associated wit…

Media landscapes in school and in free time – two paralel realities?

2008

This article is based on an extensive research project (Towards Future Literacy Pedagogies, ToLP1 ) that deals with the literacy practices of Finnish and immigrant pupils, mother tongue (MT) and foreign language (FL) teachers. The overall aim of the project is to explore and interpret literacy practices both in school and out-of-school contexts by employing large-scale quantitative research approaches as well as qualitative classroom observations and teacher and pupil interviews. In this article, we will report findings of the comprehensive survey, our specific focus being on the materials and media the teachers and pupils use in school and in their free time. We are interested in exploring…

Mądrościowe odczytanie przykazania: "Nie mów fałszywego świadectwa przeciw bliźniemu swemu" (WJ 20,16; PWT 5,20) w Księdze Przysłów

2015

Wielość i różnorodność sytuacji skłaniała do prawnych uściśleń, czego potwierdzeniem jest kodeks praw w Księdze Wyjścia i w Księdze Powtórzonego Prawa. Równie ważny był jednak w ludzie wybranym proces kształcenia i formowania poprzez przyswajane mądrościowe sentencje i przysłowia, które przyczyniały się do ukształtowania właściwych postaw. Częste w Księdze Przysłów nawiązywanie do potrzeby składania pra…
