Avec sa publication « Les oubliées du numérique » Isabelle Collet, à travers d’exemples issus de vingt ans de recherche sur le genre et l’informatique, nous amène, tout d’abord, à mieux comprendre le fonctionnement des mécanismes qui opèrent autour de l’exclusion des femmes dans le numérique. Elle offre ensuite une analyse approfondie sur l’efficacité des différentes pratiques pour l’inclusion des femmes dans ce secteur et propose une stratégie d’action en trois étapes – intéresser, recruter, socialiser – pour changer le système et le rendre plus inclusif. Dans l’entrevue qui suit, l’autrice partage avec Loïc Szerdahelyi les réflexions au cœur de son ouvrage.

The international intervention in Afghanistan started more than ten years ago. It built on new institutions according to the democratic model, complete with concepts generalized in the Western world since the 18th century, and among them the principle of equality. Measuring Excellence and Equity in Education : Conceptual and Methodological Issues

The text focuses on the measurement problems both equity and excellence does imply, and on the "technical" choices that are to be made. It aims at showing that those choices are not neutral and have plenty of political consequences. Starting with the problems of definition of both excellence and equity, which should be considered jointly, the paper examines i) how the indicators and methods implemented do have some impact on the amount of inequalities, and ii) on the necessity of a time dimension to figure out how inequalities are generated, along with a system-wide perspective.

: National contexts, organisation of educational systems and inequalities between pupils : the PISA enquiry contribution

This paper, after having described both mean scores and dispersion of the different countries integrated in PISA last study, put together those "products" with economic and cultural characteristics of the countries considered. It explores also the relationship between the pupils'scores and some institutional characteristicis of the educational systems. Results show that pupils'scores follow some geographical patterns, and also that some relations exist between scores and some institutional or pedagogical practices such as repeating or tracking.
