Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag expliziert Gütekriterien der qualitativen Sozialforschung. Er geht von der Prämisse aus, dass Qualitätsmerkmale in diesem Segment empirischer Sozialforschung nur unter konsequentem Rekurs auf die spezifischen Funktionsbedingungen interpretativer und rekonstruktiver Verfahren zu bestimmen sind. Fünf Kriterien werden vorgeschlagen: Gegenstandsangemessen ist eine Weise der Herstellung des Forschungsgegenstandes, die das empirische Feld ernst nimmt und Methoden, Fragestellungen und Datentypen einer fortlaufenden Justierungsanforderung unterwirft. Representation of Intimate Partner Violence Against Women in Swedish News Media: A Discourse Analysis.

Despite being rated as some of the world’s most gender equal countries, Sweden and neighboring Nordic nations show high rates of intimate partner violence against women (IPVAW). As the news media contribute to the shaping of public attitudes, this article pursues a two-step discourse analysis of how IPVAW was represented in seven Swedish newspapers during 2018. Although an individualistic discourse on IPVAW was found to be most prevalent, articles where perpetrators were presented as non-Swedish more frequently contained a structural framing of IPVAW. This confirms previously noted tendencies toward individualization and othering of IPVAW in Sweden.

Introduction Concern for the French language in Quebec in the 1960s and 1970s and the Latvian language in the then Soviet Union in the late 1980s and in the new Latvian state in the 1990s were ignited by some of the same demographic and assimilative forces in the two societies. Both Quebec and Latvia had lost their independence to larger powers. The birth rate and population declined abruptly in the two subnations. Schools in English (in Quebec) and Russian (in Latvia) attracted most immigrants. The elites were disproportionately drawn from outside the majority ethnic groups. International audience; L'ampleur considérable des inégalités sociales de performances scolaires interroge fortement l'équité de l'école. Nous cherchons, dans ce travail, à mettre en lumière les facteurs de l'accroissement récent de ces inégalités par le biais d'indicateurs disponibles dans les données des enquêtes PISA (2003 et 2012). Nous étudions d'abord l'évolution des différentes composantes de l'indicateur multicritère par lequel l'OCDE mesure le plus souvent le milieu social. 06062; National audience; How does objective social mobility, traditionally measured with tables of mobility drawn up by sociologists, relate to feelings about mobility, i.e., how individuals perceive, explain and appraise their social trajectory? Using a question from a survey (Insee's Formation, qualification professionnelle), subjective mobility was statistically evaluated so as to bring the two approaches to mobility together and measure the (considerable) frequency of deviations. The internationality imperative in academia. The ascent of internationality as an academic virtue

ABSTRACTThe paper investigates internationality as an academic virtue that is highly relevant for research biographies. The discursive trajectory of this virtue is assessed by comparing ascriptions of internationality in 216 academic obituaries from the US, UK and Germany, from physics, sociology and history, and from the 1960s, 1980s and 2000s. Our analysis reveals that internationality as a virtue is more prevalent in German than in US obituaries, that it plays a greater role in physics than in history obituaries, and that, independent from national and disciplinary contexts, the ascription of internationality increases over time. A partir d’un travail clinique recent avec Marcel Nuss sur la virilite avec des hommes atteints d’un handicap l’auteur s’interroge sur les liens entre virilite et masculinite. Est interrogee l’identite sexuelle comme part de l’identite socialement construite dans un dispositif de sexualite. La clinique de l’homme handicape physique, suppose depourvu de virilite vient eclairer la clinique du masculin en general. Ne peut-on jouer un role masculin (par exemple dans la fonction paternelle, dans la sexualite ou au travail) sans posseder les attributs stereotypes de la virilite ?
Le sentiment de discrimination des descendants d'immigrés : reflet d'une orientation contrariée et d'un chômage persistant

National audience; La discrimination est analysée ici en croisant les perceptions des jeunes avec la réalité de leur insertion sur le marché du travail et de leur parcours d'éducation. Une orientation contrariée en fin de troisième a un impact sur les trajectoires ultérieures, comme l'obtention d'un emploi. Certes, le chômage est lié au niveau d'études, mais les descendants d'immigrés originaires du Maghreb ou d'Afrique subsaharienne y sont surexposés, mettant en relief une discrimination à l'embauche, discrimination vivement ressentie par les jeunes eux-mêmes.
