L’analisi delle tensioni residue nei vetri viene di solito effettuata con metodi fotoelastici dato che il vetro è un materiale birifrangente. Questa memoria considera l’automazione del cosiddetto "test fringes” metodo che si basa sull’impiego di un compensatore di Babinet o di un provino inflesso. In particolare si propongono due metodi automatici basati sull’impiego del metodo del centro frangia in luce monocromatica e sull’impiego della fotoelasticità RGB in luce bianca. I metodi proposti possono efficacemente sostituire i metodi manuali.

Structure and dynamics in liquid bismuth and Bin clusters: A density functional study

Density functional/molecular dynamics simulations with more than 500 atoms have been performed on liquid bismuth at 573, 773, 923, and 1023 K and on neutral Bi clusters with up to 14 atoms. There are similar structural patterns (coordination numbers, bond angles, and ring patterns) in the liquid and the clusters, with significant differences from the rhombohedral crystalline form. We study the details of the structure (structure factor, pair, and cavity distribution functions) and dynamical properties (vibration frequencies, diffusion constants, power spectra), and compare with experimental results where available. Gli Autori, dopo aver descrittole caratteristiche ambientali del sottobacino Iudeo Bucari e l’attività agricola prevalentemente legataalla vitivinicoltura, descrivono alcune prove di vinificazione di uve Grillo provenienti da tre vignesite nel sottobacino Iudeo – Bucari gestite in modo ordinario, delle quali si è monitorata la maturazione delle uve. L'obiettivo è quello di caratterizzare il prodotto vino ottenuto attraverso una tecnica di vinificazione uniforme ed ordinaria nella zona, ma che mira a mettere in evidenza la diversa qualità tecnologica delle uve utilizzate espressione dicontesti eco-pedologici diversi.

La presente Tesis Doctoral intenta exponer la problemática del maltrato infantil en el contexto familiar en la Comunidad Valenciana a partir de la comparativa anual de los expedientes abiertos por Servicios Sociales soblre maltrato infantil en la familia durante los años 1998 y 2008. El objetivo general del estudio de esta temática, es identificar y poner de manifiesto los cambios ocurridos sobre el tema tras diez años de medidas sociales y programas de intervención en el campo de la prevención y la intervención. High-Reynolds-number turbulent cavity flow using the lattice Boltzmann method

We present a boundary condition scheme for the lattice Boltzmann method that has significantly improved stability for modeling turbulent flows while maintaining excellent parallel scalability. Simulations of a three-dimensional lid-driven cavity flow are found to be stable up to the unprecedented Reynolds number $\mathrm{Re}=5\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{4}$ for this setup. Excellent agreement with energy balance equations, computational and experimental results are shown. We quantify rises in the production of turbulence and turbulent drag, and determine peak locations of turbulent production.
