PURPOSE: We present a case of transient global amnesia (TGA) onset in a 52-year-old male with a medical history of migraine. METHODS: Patient was taken to ER by his colleagues which reported that after an emotional stress he suddenly appeared perplexed and started asking repetitive questions. In ER a neurological examination excluded other neurological signs or symptoms and it was confirmed that cognitive impairment was limited to the amnesia domain; electroencephalography was unremarkable and he had no history of epileptic seizures or head trauma. Spontaneous or traumatic rupture of renal cysts, documented by radiological imaging, occurs infrequently. The pathogenesis of a cyst rupture is still unclear, except when it has occurred following trauma or when the cyst has become infected. Imaging plays a crucial role in the diagnosis, management, surveillance, and choice of lesions that need treatment.

SCOPO DEL LAVORO: Valutare retrospettivamente le caratteristiche di semeiotica neuroradiologica delle lesioni indotte in pazienti sottoposti a talamotomia unilaterale del nucleo Vim mediante l’utilizzo di un sistema trans-cranico ad ultrasuoni focalizzati guidati da RM (tcMRgFUS). MATERIALI E METODI: Cinquanta pazienti sono stati sottoposti a talamotomia mediante tcMRgFUS per tremore essenziale refrattario a terapia medica (n = 39) o per tremore in malattia di Parkinson (n = 11). Scopo Negli ultimi anni la terapia transcranica ad ultrasuoni focalizzati guidati da risonanza magnetica (tcMRgFUS) per il trattamento di disordini neurologici quali il tremore essenziale (ET) e il Parkinson tremorigeno (PD) è stata effettuata utilizzando esclusivamente scanner RM da 3T. Presentiamo i risultati ottenuti con il primo sistema tcMRgFUS mai integrato con uno scanner RM da 1.5T. Scopo La terapia dei disordini neurologici mediante tcMRgFUS è stata effettuata utilizzando esclusivamente scanner RM da 3T. Utilizzando uno scanner RM da 1.5T la qualità delle sequenze morfologiche utilizzabili per la pianificazione di questi trattamenti è risultata essere soddisfacente utilizzando la bobina body RF (quella utilizzata con scanner 3T). Tuttavia l'SNR delle sequenze utilizzate per la termometria RM è risultato inferiore allo standard accettabile per i trattamenti. È stata quindi sviluppata una bobina a 2 canali per assicurare un adeguato SNR. This paper examines some examples (taken from research conducted over the years) that show students’ linguistic attitudes in geometry tasks. The examples are framed within the Theory of Objectification with reference to the notion of sensuous cognition, semiotic means of objectification and levels of generality. We show the struggle students live, at higher levels of generality, in intertwining natural language, specific language and the spontaneous use of geometrical figures, bound to perception and kinaesthetic activity.
