Robust control of uncertain multi-inventory systems via linear matrix inequality

We consider a continuous time linear multi inventory system with unknown demands bounded within ellipsoids and controls bounded within ellipsoids or polytopes. We address the problem of "-stabilizing the inventory since this implies some reduction of the inventory costs. The main results are certain conditions under which "-stabilizability is possible through a saturated linear state feedback control. All the results are based on a Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) approach and on some recent techniques for the modeling and analysis of polytopic systems with saturations.

Maximal Cohen-Macaulay Modules over the Affine Cone of the Simple Node

A concrete description of all graded maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules of rank one and two over the affine cone of the simple node (a non-isolated singularity) is given. For this purpose we construct an alghoritm that provides extensions of MCM modules over an arbitrary hypersurface.

Multisummability for generalized power series

We develop multisummability, in the positive real direction, for generalized power series with natural support, and we prove o-minimality of the expansion of the real field by all multisums of these series. This resulting structure expands both $\mathbb{R}_{\mathcal{G}}$ and the reduct of $\mathbb{R}_{\mathrm{an}^*}$ generated by all convergent generalized power series with natural support; in particular, its expansion by the exponential function defines both the Gamma function on $(0,\infty)$ and the Zeta function on $(1,\infty)$.

Short time existence of the classical solution to the fractional mean curvature flow

2019

Abstract We establish short-time existence of the smooth solution to the fractional mean curvature flow when the initial set is bounded and C 1 , 1 -regular. We provide the same result also for the volume preserving fractional mean curvature flow.

Sard property for the endpoint map on some Carnot groups

In Carnot-Caratheodory or sub-Riemannian geometry, one of the major open problems is whether the conclusions of Sard's theorem holds for the endpoint map, a canonical map from an infinite-dimensional path space to the underlying finite-dimensional manifold. The set of critical values for the endpoint map is also known as abnormal set, being the set of endpoints of abnormal extremals leaving the base point. We prove that a strong version of Sard's property holds for all step-2 Carnot groups and several other classes of Lie groups endowed with left-invariant distributions. Non-parametric mean curvature flow with prescribed contact angle in Riemannian products

2020

Assuming that there exists a translating soliton $u_\infty$ with speed $C$ in a domain $\Omega$ and with prescribed contact angle on $\partial\Omega$, we prove that a graphical solution to the mean curvature flow with the same prescribed contact angle converges to $u_\infty +Ct$ as $t\to\infty$. We also generalize the recent existence result of Gao, Ma, Wang and Weng to non-Euclidean settings under suitable bounds on convexity of $\Omega$ and Ricci curvature in $\Omega$.

Abstract Stratified groups are those simply connected Lie groups whose Lie algebras admit a derivation for which the eigenspace with eigenvalue 1 is Lie generating. When a stratified group is equipped with a left-invariant path distance that is homogeneous with respect to the automorphisms induced by the derivation, this metric space is known as Carnot group. Optimal transport maps on Alexandrov spaces revisited

We give an alternative proof for the fact that in $n$-dimensional Alexandrov spaces with curvature bounded below there exists a unique optimal transport plan from any purely $(n-1)$-unrectifiable starting measure, and that this plan is induced by an optimal map.

Conformal equivalence of visual metrics in pseudoconvex domains

We refine estimates introduced by Balogh and Bonk, to show that the boundary extensions of isometries between smooth strongly pseudoconvex domains in $\C^n$ are conformal with respect to the sub-Riemannian metric induced by the Levi form. As a corollary we obtain an alternative proof of a result of Fefferman on smooth extensions of biholomorphic mappings between pseudoconvex domains. The proofs are inspired by Mostow's proof of his rigidity theorem and are based on the asymptotic hyperbolic character of the Kobayashi or Bergman metrics and on the Bonk-Schramm hyperbolic fillings.
