Influence of Nitrogen Content on Grape Non-Saccharomyces Glycosidic Activities

2019

This study investigated the influence of nitrogen content on both β-glucosidase and β-xylosidase activities from non-Saccharomyces yeasts. Enzymatic activities were induced by the presence of xylan polysaccharides in the medium. Results show that optimizing β-glucosidase and β-xylosidase enzymatic activities can be determined not only by sugar or ethanol content or pH, but also by the concentration of N in the medium. This is the first work studying the influence of N content on glycolytic enzymes produced by non-Saccharomyces yeasts.

One-Pot Oxidative C–H Activation/Aza-Prins-Type Reaction of Tertiary Alkynylamines: A Counter Ion-Induced Iminium Ion–Alkyne Cyclization

2021

Herein, the design and development of a new one-pot and metal-free oxidative C-H activation/aza-Prins type cyclization of alkynylamines is reported. The scope of this method was demonstrated by the preparation of ten new pyrido[2,1-a]isoquinolines in moderate to high yields (38-92%). Furthermore, a mechanistic proposal for the alkyne aza-Prins cyclization is described based on DFT calculations.

Propane-1,3-diammonium molybdate

2019

The reaction between equimolar amounts of propane-1,3-diamine and molybdenum trioxide in water led to the formation of single crystals of the title salt, (C3H12N2)[MoO4]. The asymmetric unit is comprised of one propane-1,3-diammonium cation and one molybdate anion. The latter is isolated in the structure and has a slightly distorted tetrahedral configuration. An extensive network of N—H...O hydrogen bonds connects anions and cations, giving rise to a compact three-dimensional packing.

Methyl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate

2018

The title compound, C10H12O3, crystallizes in the orthorhombicP212121space group. The structure contains a phenolic group with the OH being coplanar with the phenyl ring. The structure exhibits significant hydrogen bonding between the O—H group of one molecule and the CO group of an adjacent one. These O—H...O=C interactions form chains of molecules parallel to thebaxis. No π–π or C—H...π intermolecular interactions are observed.

Coordination complexes of chromium(0) with a series of 1,3-diphenyl-6-arylfulvenes

2018

The synthesis and structural properties of a series of chromium tricarbonyl `piano-stool' complexes bearing substituted pentafulvene ligands were studied. The complexes, tricarbonyl(1,3,6-triphenylfulvene)chromium(0) benzene hemisolvate, [Cr(C24H18)(CO)3]·0.5C6H6 (I), tricarbonyl[1,3-diphenyl-6-(3-vinylphenyl)fulvene]chromium(0), [Cr(C26H20)(CO)3] (II), and tricarbonyl[1,3-diphenyl-6-(pyren-1-yl)fulvene]chromium(0), [Cr(C34H22)(CO)3] (III), each have a distorted octahedral geometry, with the fulvene coordinated in a π–η2:π–η2:π–η2 fashion. Significant deviation of the exocyclic fulvene double bond from the cyclopentadiene plane accompanies coordination. Evidence of non-covalent π–π interact…

Crystal structures of isomeric 3,5-dichloro-N-(2,3-dimethylphenyl)benzenesulfonamide, 3,5-dichloro-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)benzenesulfonamide and 3,5-d…

2017

The crystal structures of three isomeric compounds of formula C14H13Cl2NO2S, namely 3,5-dichloro-N-(2,3-dimethylphenyl)-benzenesulfonamide (I), 3,5-dichloro-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)benzenesulfonamide (II) and 3,5-dichloro-N-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)benzenesulfonamide (III) are described. The molecules of all the three compounds are U-shaped with the two aromatic rings inclined at 41.3 (6)° in (I), 42.1 (2)° in (II) and 54.4 (3)° in (III). The molecular conformation of (II) is stabilized by intramolecular C—H...O hydrogen bonds and C—H...π interactions. The crystal structure of (I) features N—H...O hydrogen-bonded R 2 2(8) loops interconnected via C(7) chains of C—H...O interactions, forming a thre…

rac-1,1,1,6,6,6-Hexachlorohex-3-yne-2,5-diol hemihydrate

2017

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C6H4Cl6O2·0.5H2O, contains one molecule of 1,1,1,6,6,6-hexachlorohex-3-yne-2,5-diol and half a water molecule located on a twofold rotation axis. In the crystal, pairs of hexachlorohexynediol molecules form centrosymmetric dimers connectedviapairwise O—H...O hydrogen bonds. These dimers are connected by water molecules, resulting in layers parallel to theabplane.
