This article explores the long-term dynamics of material use in France over a period of 185 years. It is based on material flow accounts that are perfectly consistent with the standards of Material Flows Analysis at the national economic scale. This work - which covers domestic extraction, imports and exports - is the first long-term study of material flows for France, with annual and national data for most of the period. Our database allows us to study the evolution of French metabolism during the industrialization of the country, together with the increasing dependence on abiotic materials. This article examines why it is interesting to have a better knowledge of unit costs in educational systems, and to analyse differences between levels of education, between schools and between countries. It underlines the fact that few studies have been carried out up to now, and that little agreement exists among specialists concerning the methodologies for estimating costs. Human capital formation : state or market management This paper examines the likely difficulties of the management by the state of the education sector. Concerning the operation of the system, the analysis is based on international comparisons and on the French experience. As a whole the difficulties are linked to the weak accountability and justification in the use of the resources mobilized. This arises from the absence of the regulatory mechanisms as those existing in a market oriented activity. Este trabalho examina os dispositivos linguísticos por meio dos quais Ésquilo conseguiu apresentar as personagens femininas da Oresteia. A análise é feita após um levantamento das seções recitativas de três tragédias; características fonéticas, morfológicas e sintáticas foram estudadas e comparadas com a linguagem dos personagens masculinos. Os resultados desta pesquisa se ajustam a outras tentativas precedentes de mostrar como a sociolinguística pode explicar o retrato formal dos personagens trágicos e cômicos. Evolución de la oferta exportable en Santander, Colombia 2000-2012: Un análisis a través del índice Herfindahl Hirschmann

Este documento tuvo como objetivo analizar la evolución de la oferta exportadora de Santander entre el año 2000 y 2012, revisando los patrones de concentración o diversificación. Para ello utilizó como metodología el cálculo del índice de Herfindahl-Hirschmann. Los hallazgos encontrados establecen que la oferta exportable se ha concentrado por lo que las políticas diseñadas para promover la diversificación de producto no han tenido los efectos esperados y es necesario el diseño de nuevos lineamientos para tal fin.
