Bresaola made from Cinisara cattle: effect of muscle type and animal category on physicochemical and sensory traits

The physicochemical characteristics and sensory traits of Cinisara bresaola were investigated, to explore a new commercial opportunity for autochthonous dairy cattle farms. Semimembranosus, Semitendinosus and Biceps brachii muscles, from adult cows (AC) and grazing (GB) or housed (HB) young bulls of Cinisara breed, were processed to made bresaola. Differences due to animal category and muscle type were observed. Bresaola from AC was richer in fat and volatile organic compounds. The bresaola from Semitendinosus showed higher colorimetric parameters, fat and, when from grazing animals, Warner-Bratzler shear force than those made from other muscles. Disertācijā pētīts aperiodiskums divu vienpusēji bezgalīgu vārdu klašu – galīgi ģenerētu biideālu un ierobežotu bi-ideālu – kontekstā. Gan galīgi ģenerētus bi-ideālus, gan ierobežotus biideālus ir ērti uzdot, izmantojot bāzes virkni. Ierobežotu bi-ideālu gadījumā tiek nofiksēta galīga vārdu kopa, no kuras tiek uzģenerēta bāzes virkne. Savukārt galīgi ģenerētu bi-ideālu gadījumā bāzes virkne ir periodiska, līdz ar to var uzskatīt, ka ir dota galīga bāze. Coupled fixed point results in cone metric spaces for -compatible mappings

Abstract In this paper, we introduce the concepts of -compatible mappings, b-coupled coincidence point and b-common coupled fixed point for mappings F, G : X × X → X, where (X, d) is a cone metric space. We establish b-coupled coincidence and b-common coupled fixed point theorems in such spaces. The presented theorems generalize and extend several well-known comparable results in the literature, in particular the recent results of Abbas et al. [Appl. Math. Comput. 217, 195-202 (2010)]. Unification of Graphs and Relations in Mizar

Summary A (di)graph without parallel edges can simply be represented by a binary relation of the vertices and on the other hand, any binary relation can be expressed as such a graph. In this article, this correspondence is formalized in the Mizar system [2], based on the formalization of graphs in [6] and relations in [11], [12]. Notably, a new definition of createGraph will be given, taking only a non empty set V and a binary relation E ⊆ V × V to create a (di)graph without parallel edges, which will provide to be very useful in future articles.

New Polylactic Acid Composites Reinforced with Artichoke Fibers

In this work, artichoke fibers were used for the first time to prepare poly(lactic acid) (PLA)-based biocomposites. In particular, two PLA/artichoke composites with the same fiber loading (10% w/w) were prepared by the film-stacking method: the first one (UNID) reinforced with unidirectional long artichoke fibers, the second one (RANDOM) reinforced by randomly-oriented long artichoke fibers. Both composites were mechanically characterized in tensile mode by quasi-static and dynamic mechanical tests. Hedysarum coronarium-Based Green Composites Prepared by Compression Molding and Fused Deposition Modeling

In this work, an innovative green composite was produced by adding Hedysarum coronarium (HC) flour to a starch-based biodegradable polymer (Mater-Bi®, MB). The flour was obtained by grinding together stems, leaves and flowers and subsequently sieving it, selecting a fraction from 75 μm to 300 μm. Four formulations have been produced by compression molding (CM) and fused deposition modeling (FDM) by adding 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% of HC to MB. The influence of filler content on the processability was tested, and rheological, morphological and mechanical properties of composites were also assessed.
