The title molecule, (E)-2,3′,4,5-tetramethoxystilbene, C18H20O4, is virtually planar. The angle between the two benzene rings is 4.06 (6)°. The intermolecular interactions present in the structure are weak. There are C—H...O hydrogen bonds and C—H...π-electron ring interactions. The molecules are ordered into planes that are parallel to (overline{1}01). The distance between adjacent planes is about 3.3 Å and therefore π–π electron interactions between the aromatic planes are also plausible.

D vitamīna receptors (VDR) nodrošina D vitamīna funkciju izpildi organismā. To kodē VDR – plejotropisks gēns, kas tiek asociēts ar autoimunitāti, dažādām iekaisuma un alerģiskām slimībām, tai skaitā arī bronhiālo astmu (BA). Bronhiālā astma ir ģenētiski sarežģīta un heterogēna hroniska elpceļu iekaisuma slimība. VDR sekvences varianti rs731236 un rs1544410 tiek pētīti kā potenciāli bronhiālas astmas risku ietekmējoši faktori. A proper balance between saturated and unsaturated fatty acids (FAs) is required for maintaining cell homeostasis. The increased demand of FAs to assemble the plasma membranes of continuously dividing cancer cells might unbalance this ratio and critically affect tumour outgrowth. We unveiled the role of the stearoyl-CoA desaturase SCD5 in converting saturated FAs into mono-unsaturated FAs during melanoma progression. Spin transitions are a spectacular example of molecular switching that can provoke extreme electronic and structural reorganizations in coordination compounds. A new 3D cyanoheterometallic framework, [Fe(pz)(Au(CN)2)2], has been synthesized in which a highly cooperative spin crossover has been observed at 367 and 349 K in heating and cooling modes, respectively. Mössbauer spectroscopy revealed a complete transition between the diamagnetic and paramagnetic states of the iron centres. AbstractBackgroundA recent genome-wide association study (GWAS) identified 12 independent loci significantly associated with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Polygenic risk scores (PRS), derived from the GWAS, can be used to assess genetic overlap between ADHD and other traits. Using ADHD samples from several international sites, we derived PRS for ADHD from the recent GWAS to test whether genetic variants that contribute to ADHD also influence two cognitive functions that show strong association with ADHD: attention regulation and response inhibition, captured by reaction time variability (RTV) and commission errors (CE).MethodsThe discovery GWAS included 19 099 ADHD cases …
