Anestesisykepleier i traumeteam : En kvalitativ studie om hvordan opplever nyutdannet anestesisykepleier å delta i traumeteam
2020
Master's thesis in Specialized nursing (ME519) Background: Our interest in the trauma team beganwhen we started working in the hospital. This interest increased as we began our education as anesthetic nurses and were allowed to join the trauma team with a larger and more important role. Anesthetic nursing is a practical profession and requires high professional knowledge and good practical skills. An anesthetic nurses hould be able to participate in pre-hospital work. A newly trained anesthetic nurse who works in trauma teams can feel very vulnerable and intimidated in an emergency situation due to the fact that they would have least amount of knowledge and experience in situations such as …
Investigating the User Experience of Virtual Reality Rehabilitation Solution for Biomechatronics Laboratory and Home Environment
2021
Virtual reality (VR) technology is a promising tool in physical rehabilitation. Research indicates that VR-supported rehabilitation is beneficial for task-specific training, multi-sensory feedback, diversified rehabilitation tasks, and patient motivation. Our first goal was to create a biomechatronics laboratory with a VR setup for increasing immersion and a motion platform to provide realistic feedback to patients. The second goal was to investigate possibilities to replicate features of the biomechatronics laboratory in a home-based training system using commercially available components. The laboratory comprises of a motion platform with 6-degrees-of-freedom (Rexroth eMotion), fitted wit…
Why have consumers opposed, postponed, and rejected Innovations during a pandemic? A Study of mobile payment Innovations
2021
The highly infectious nature of the COVID-19 virus has made the use of contactless payment methods a health exigency. Yet, consumers are resisting using mobile payments (m-payments) during the pandemic, a confounding behavior that needs to be better understood. The present study explicates this behavior by examining consumer resistance to m-payments during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, it provides more granular findings by measuring three levels of resistance/non-adoption, namely, postponement, opposition, and rejection. In this way, the study adds depth to the literature, which has largely examined resistance at an aggregate level to yield generic findings. Toward this end, the study…
Comparison of anterior cingulate vs. insular cortex as targets for real-time fMRI regulation during pain stimulation
2014
© 2014 Emmert Breimhorst Bauermann Birklein Van De Ville and Haller. Real time functional magnetic resonance imaging (rt fMRI) neurofeedback allows learning voluntary control over specific brain areas by means of operant conditioning and has been shown to decrease pain perception. To further increase the effect of rt fMRI neurofeedback on pain we directly compared two different target regions of the pain network notably the anterior insular cortex (AIC) and the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC). Participants for this prospective study were randomly assigned to two age matched groups of 14 participants each (7 females per group) for AIC and ACC feedback. First a functional localizer using bloc…

Trends in Research and Publication: Science 2.0 and Open Access
2009
This paper considers current trends in academic research and publication, in particular as seen from the control community. The introduction of Web 2.0 applications for scientists and engineers is currently changing the way research is being conducted. In the near future, participants in the research community will be able to share ideas, data and results like never before. They will also be able to manage the rapidly increasing amount of scientific information much more effectively than today through collaborative efforts enabled by the new Internet tools. However, an important premise for such a development is the availability of research material. Many research results are currently shie…
Mujeres e Ilustración: una perspectiva europea
2008
