The capabilities approach, a framework for understanding and measuring inequality, stipulates that equality is best understood as the freedom to do and be within a particular context. Homelessness has been referred to as a situation of ‘capabilities deprivation’, and the extent to which homeless services restore or enhance capabilities is of increasing interest. As part of a large, eight-country study of homelessness in Europe, we examined the extent to which adults with histories of perceived the services they receive as capabilities-enhancing. The Autism Spectrum Disorders in the European Union (ASDEU) survey investigated the knowledge and health service experiences of users and providers to generate new hypotheses and scientific investigations that would contribute to improvement in health care for autistic adults. An online survey designed for autistic adults, carers of autistic adults, and professionals in adult services was translated into 11 languages and distributed electronically by organizations and in-country adult service facilities in 2017; 522 autistic adults, 442 carers, and 113 professionals provided answers to the health questions. They work because predators learn to associate unprofitability with bright coloration and because strong signals are detectable and memorable. To explore the relations between operational intelligence rated on several Piagetian tasks and school learning problems identified by the Rhode Island Pupil Identification Scale by Novack, Bonaventura, and Merenda we assumed that Piagetian performances would allow predicting learning problems of first graders. 38 pupils were evaluated by three teachers, who were asked to complete the Rhode Island scale. The large multinational enterprises rely on their size and significant resources to develop marketing capabilities. On the other hand, little is known about how resource-constrained born global firms develop necessary marketing capabilities to operate in multiple international markets. This paper attempts to fill this gap conceptually by discussing relationships between entrepreneurial orientation, networking orientation, marketing capabilities, and performance in the context of born global firms. To fulfill this objective, research propositions are presented based on an extensive literature review. Preliminary conclusions and suggestions for further research are also provided.
