Benztropine (BZT) analogs, a family of high-affinity dopamine transporter ligands, are molecules that exhibit pharmacological and behavioral characteristics predictive of significant therapeutic potential in cocaine addiction. Here, we examined in mice the effects of 3 alpha-[bis(4'-fluorophenyl)metoxy]-tropane (AHN-1055) on motor activity, conditioned place preference (CPP) and c-Fos expression in the striatum. Consumer biases in the perception of organizational greed

This article extends current models of how consumers judge or perceive organizations as greedy by employing the theoretical framework of motivated moral reasoning. We show that inherent features of an organization (size and “black sheep” status) and its behavior (relative frequency) bias consumer perceptions of organizational greed. We use an experimental methodology, present subjects with vignettes describing different scenarios, validate our questionnaire using confirmatory factor analysis, and test our hypotheses by employing a general linear model with covariates. EPR studies of Mn, Fe, Co, and Cu doped PLZT and PMN compositions

Results of Mn, Fe, Co, and Cu admixture EPR spectra studies in PLZT and PMN ceramics are discussed. The spectra of Mn, Fe, and Co ions with dominating absorption at geff = 2.0 and 4.3 are proposed due to d5 (S = 5/2) configurations (Mn2+, Fe3+, Co4+). The latter can be used as probes disclosing specific features (glass-like behaviour) of the structures. The Jahn-Teller ions (Mn3+, Fe4+, Co5+, Cu2+) are responsible for the dopant effect, e.g., the shift of the e(T) maximum to higher temperatures. The microscopic nature of differences of the dopant effect in PLZT and PMN materials and in the Mn Fe Co sequence is analyzed. [Russian Text Ignored].

Abstract The gradient operator is defined on the free path space with reference measure P μ , the law of the Brownian motion on the base manifold with initial distribution μ, where μ has strictly positive density w.r.t. the volume measure. The formula of integration by parts is established for the underlying directional derivatives, which implies the closability of the gradient operator so that it induces a conservative Dirichlet form on the free path space. The log-Sobolev inequality for this Dirichlet form is established and, consequently, the transportation cost inequality is obtained for the associated intrinsic distance.

Structure Solution of the High-Pressure Phase of CuWO4 and Evolution of the Jahn–Teller Distortion

In this work, we have investigated the structural behavior of cuproscheelite up to 33.9 GPa by means of high-pressure single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SXRD) and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS). According to EXAFS, beyond 9 GPa a phase transition takes place. On the basis of SXRD, the transition is from the triclinic (P1) structure to a monoclinic (P2/c) structure isotypic to wolframite. The transition implies abrupt changes of CuO6 and WO6 octahedra, but no coordination change.
