Diplomdarba mērķis. Pirmo reizi apkopot datus par vairogdziedzera slimību operatīvās ārstēšanas rezultātiem Latvijā, akcentējot vairogdziedzera vēžus un salīdzināt ar ticamību atbilstoši pasaulē pieņemtiem ticamības standartiem HORIZON 2020 projekta Euthyroid ietvaros, lai samazinātu vai izskaustu ar joda deficītu saistītās vairogdziedzera slimības Eiropā. Pētījuma materiāli un metodes. Pētījums ir retrospektīvs un tajā tika pētītas pacientu slimības vēstures. Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common joint disease associated with pain and loss of functional capacity. The management of knee OA is multifaceted and covers the whole OA continuum from injury prevention to the end stage of the disease. Isolated from its harbour by the submarine base built during World War II, Saint-Nazaire has added to its development over the last two decades, without referring to major European models. An important arts and tourist center has been built around the port zone, close to the German submarine base. The converted military structure, which is situated in an impressive public space, has been endowed with a new sense of identity. It stands out as the main element in the urban regeneration process, focusing on the cultural and tourist character of the programme and aiming to reinforce the relationship between the city and its port.

In contemporary societies we are witnessing an expansion of the messages of human capital. These messages have as their central dimension idea of the self-entrepreneur, which implies a deepening in the logic of activation, while blurring the wage relations. In this scenario, young people with university degrees are becoming a favourite target in the offensive of human capital. The penetration of these human capital messages can be seen in the discourses of young university students who have been forced to leave the country during the crisis. In 2002, excavations carried out by Marie-Cécile Truc (Inrap) at Saint-Dizier led to the discovery of four graves of exceptional wealth, containing a young woman, two men and a horse, dated to c. 525-550 AD. Dressed and adorned with numerous jewels, the young female was laid in a coffin upon which were placed vessels in glass, copper alloy goblet and ceramic. Each male had been buried in an excavated funerary chamber, built within an oak frame. They were laid in their coffins along with their personal clothing, including a ceremonial sword with two rings added to the pommel. International audience; The Arctic region has experienced significant warming during the past two decades with major implications on the cryosphere. The causes of Arctic amplification are still an open question within the scientific community, attracting recent interest. The goal of this study is to quantify the contribution of atmospheric circulation on temperature variability in the Atlantic–Arctic region at decadal to intra‐annual timescales from 1951 to 2014. Skuteczność wentylacji grawitacyjnej w budownictwie mieszkaniowym

Skuteczność systemu wentylacji jest znaczącym problemem w budownictwie mieszkaniowym.W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań systemu wentylacji grawitacyjnej w lokalach mieszkalnych poddanych termomodernizacji. Badania przeprowadzono w lokalu mieszkalnym o powierzchni 60 m2 znajdującym się w budynku wielorodzinnym w Opolu. Badania prowadzono zarówno przed jak i po prowadzonej termomodernizacji mieszkania. Badania wykazały iż wentylacja grawitacyjna nie spełnia wymaganych w normach parametrów wymiany powietrza. Stwierdzono również zmniejszenie skuteczności wentylacji grawitacyjnej po przeprowadzeniu prac termomodernizacyjnych.

Warm conveyor belts (WCBs) are important airstreams in extratropical cyclones, often leading to the formation of intense precipitation and the amplification of upper-level ridges. This study presents a case study that involves aircraft, lidar and radar observations in a WCB ascending from western Europe towards the Baltic Sea during the Hydrological Cycle in the Mediterranean Experiment (HyMeX) and T-NAWDEX-Falcon in October 2012, a preparatory campaign for the THORPEX North Atlantic Waveguide and Downstream Impact Experiment (TNAWDEX). OBJECTIVE: This study investigates the association between depressive symptoms and multisite pain and health-related quality of life and work ability in currently employed health care workers with recurrent low back pain (LBP). METHODS: Multisite pain, depressive symptoms, quality of life, and work ability were assessed by validated questionnaires. A generalized linear model was used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: Notably, 28% of female health care workers with LBP had at least moderate levels of depressive symptoms.
