Hydrogen activation with perfluorinated organoboranes: 1,2,3-tris(pentafluorophenyl)-4,5,6,7-tetrafluoro-1-boraindene

2013

The perfluorinated boraindene was synthesized and fully characterized. Both computational and crystallographic data show that is antiaromatic. Compound was shown to react reversibly with H2 and to catalyse the hydrogenation of cyclohexene. The mechanism of catalysis was probed experimentally and computationally.

s-Block metal scorpionates – A new sodium hydrido-tris(3,5-dimethyl-1-pyrazolyl)borate salt showing an unusual core stabilized by bridging and termin…

2020

Abstract Dissolution of [(μ-Me2CO)3(NaTp*)2] (1) (Tp* = hydrido-tris(3,5-dimethyl-1-pyrazolyl)borate) in DMSO at room temperature leads to the growth of colourless crystals characterized as the new salt [Na2Tp*(μ-Me2SO)3(Me2SO)3] [NaTp* 2] (2). 2 crystallized in the trigonal space group R3 with Z = 3, a = 14.1227(2) Å, b = 14.1227(10) Å, c = 33.9685(2) Å, and V = 5867.35(17) Å3. Interestingly, anion and cation of 2 both contain the Tp* ligand. Moreover, the cationic moiety highlights an unusual sodium atom hexacoordinated by six DMSO molecules acting as O-bonded ligands. Three of which exhibit a bridging coordination mode and three are in terminal position. To the best of our knowledge, the…

Supramolecular self-assembly on the B-Si(111)-(√3x√3) R30° surface: From single molecules to multicomponent networks

2017

Abstract Understanding the physical and chemical processes in which local interactions lead to ordered structures is of particular relevance to the realization of supramolecular architectures on surfaces. While spectacular patterns have been demonstrated on metal surfaces, there have been fewer studies of the spontaneous organization of supramolecular networks on semiconductor surfaces, where the formation of covalent bonds between organics and adatoms usually hamper the diffusion of molecules and their subsequent interactions with each other. However, the saturation of the dangling bonds at a semiconductor surface is known to make them inert and offers a unique way for the engineering of m…

Typologies of the Understanding of the Experience Notion in Pedagogy

2019

The aim of this paper is to present possible typologies of experience and to point out the need to allow for the multidimensionality of experience categories in pedagogical research. Since experience is primarily a philosophical concept, the first section presents a generally acceptable definition of experience. The second section refers to the main philosophical, epistemological and methodological typologies of experience. The last of the typologies which may be of particular use in pedagogy has been discussed in the third section. It describes experience as an activity, its production (result), and a way of perceiving something. This typology organises the types of understanding experienc…

Reduction of tris(benzene-1,2-dithiolate)molybdenum(VI) by hydroxide ions in dry tetrahydrofuran solution.

2001

Tris(benzene-1,2-dithiolate)molybdenum(VI) reacts rapidly and quantitatively with tetrabutylammonium hydroxide to yield the corresponding Mo(V) and Mo(IV) complexes and hydrogen peroxide; the reaction has been executed in dry tetrahydrofuran where the reaction rate shows a fair dependence on complex and OH2 concentrations. The selective oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane over hydrothermally synthesised MoVTeNb catalysts

2002

Mo–V–Te–Nb metal oxide catalysts prepared by hydrothermal synthesis and heat-treated in N2 at high temperatures (600–700 °C) show high activity and selectivity for the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane to ethene. Yields of ethene of 75% have been obtained at 400 °C on the best catalysts. Dejoz Garcia, Ana Maria, Ana.M.Dejoz@uv.es

[Fe(sal2-trien)][Ni(dmit)2]: towards switchable spin crossover molecular conductors

2004

A cooperative spin transition behaviour with a wide hysteresis loop (30 K) around 240 K has been observed, for the first time, in a salt based on the redox active [Ni(dmit)2]¯, anion and the [Fe(sal2-trien)]+ spin crossover cation. Real Cabezos, Jose Antonio, Jose.A.Real@uv.es

Coexistence of ferro- and antiferromagnetic interactions in a metal-organic radical-based (6,3)-helical network with large channels.

2005

A metal–organic open-framework with an unprecedented (6,3)-helical topology, large channels and mixed ferro- and antiferromagnetic interactions has been synthesized using a three-connecting tricarboxylic polychlorotriphenylmethyl radical and Co(II) ions.
